"All in all an ok stay, breakfast was great. Room was small but all ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. Main complaint was that no main bar area open, small lounge open and the staircase on our floor smelt or urine which was very off putting on arrival. At a guess I would say this would be down to the amount of dogs in the hotel on high floors "

"Got nothing but good things to stay about our stay at watermouth lodges. We arrived early and our cabin was ready, such friendly staff on reception and in the bar area. "My mother and I had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at the Carlton Hotel, all the staff were very hospitable and could not do enough for us throughout our stay. We spoke to other returning guests whilst we were there and can see why they do so as the hotel was all that we required. I can see why it has such good reviews. The food each night in the restaurant was superb and the service too. I would definitely return if I was to visit Ilfracombe or this area again. "

"Annie and Sam are excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. North Walk House is full of character, it is immaculately clean and the rooms are very homely. The beds are very comfortable. We had a large bay window in our room that showed off the panaramic view of Lynton and Lynmouth. We liked the breakfasts which were cooked from scratch to order, and a treat every day. All food supplied locally. We would definately recommend this hotel and look forward to another visit soon. There...
