The door code given to me didn't work so we had to stand out in the ugly, rain and call Vacasa to get a new code. After 20+ minutes, we finally got it. We thought there was a fire pit, but there wasn't. The "grill" listed was not a BBQ, but a flat-top, so we couldn't do s'mores like we'd planned. The kitchen needed a new set of pans, a cookie sheet, larger cooking dishes (like a 9" x 13" or 10" x 15" Pyrex dish) and serving platters/plates as well as A sharp knife! When a house says it will sleep 10+ people, I would expect it to have more than one 8" x 8" dish. The washer and dryer needed to be deep cleaning and smelled like mold and mildew. On the good side, the beds were comfortable, and the linen closet was nicely stocked. I'm not sure if the listing said anything about having a hair dryer, but it would've been nice to know that they supplied shampoo, conditioner, soap, TP, paper towels, dish soap, new sponge etc. so I didn't have to pack it. The driveway was huge and could easily hold 8+ cars. We didn't like the fact that the garbage from the previous party was taking up 3/4 of the outside, rolling bin and stuck so bad, we had to keep moving it farther and farther away from the house so we could stand walking past it into the house. The stairs on the pulley system were broken so we couldn't get down to the beach and had to use the next-door neighbor's stairs. Looked like someone was getting ready to pour some new concrete stairs, but that didn't help my 85-year-old Uncle.
