On first view, Unit 1 was cozy and a little weathered. The outside area was securely fenced off for dogs with a nice patch of artificial grass surrounded by concrete. The outside dart board was a great touch and in my spare time, being a darts player, I spent an hour or two practicing my skills.
Inside was done really well, the bathrooms especially. Renovations were really aimed in those bathrooms and it paid off. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of space. The bunk bed in bedroom 1 was comfortable but a little impractical due to placement. Simply put, the lower bed was a double/queen placed against the wall. Two people could sleep fine, with space but if you’re against the wall and need to get up in the night … be prepared for some “mountaineering”! Believe me, it’s not easy and you WILL wake the person next to you unless you are creative. In the end, I ended up sleeping in the single top bed which was the best night sleep I ever had!! The kitchen came with all of the usual essentials. The only trouble we had, but soon rectified, were the lights. The kitchen and living room lights are controlled by remote controls. Convenient but once pressed (the “Light” button), nothing happened. We thought it was broken. Turns out, you have to flick a switch on at the wall to ACTIVATE the remote control. After doing that, all was working … simple!
All in all it was a great stay and we look forward to returning.
