Awesome
Great spot, fab house and great service. Issue with water was sorted very promptly. Road are risky in the area due to previous storms, which may be good to know in advance We would love to go back sometime.

The view is priceless!
A brilliant bach! Plenty of space for a large group - decent sized lounge and well equipped kitchen. Very comfy beds, 2 toilets which was really handy, and a nice assortment of games. The deck though is the best - a large table and chairs to while away the evening with a cold wine and the setting sun!

Location, location, location
The house is large, very well equipped, comfortable, and situated so ideally for views and birdsong. Lovely spot. We got some weather and the house was nice and cozy even with whipping winds and thrashing rain. You can lose hours just looking at the ever changing clouds and water.

Amazing getaway
If you are looking for a house in the middle of Kenepuru sounds , This is the house. Peaceful with views up and down the sound. We pinched ourselves every day just to make sure we were not dreaming. Very close to Queen Charlette sounds walk .The house is very comfortable and easy to relax in. Very clean and tidy. Great host. We loved it. Regards Kevin

House with a view
We had a wonderful stay! The house sits up on the hill and has a panoramic view of the sounds. We just sat and watched the boats cruising the sounds, so majestic. A nice tyre walk down to a little bay just 50 metres from the house is beautiful. Diving into the water off the rocks and seeing the sea life fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing holiday in the Marlborough Sounds
This property was ideal for our needs - easy parking for our cars and 5.5m boat, with boat launching only 3kms away in Portage. The view from the house is fabulous, but to get that view necessitates the house being situated high up, so there is a good number of steps to keep you fit from the parking site up to the house. The house was very clean and the beds very comfy, kitchen had all we needed for our 5 night stay. We'd be keen to stay there again and the owner was very responsive and helpful. Kids thought it was the best one we've stayed in up there and we've now tried out 3 on Lawrence Road alone as well as a couple in Portage itself in recent years. Thanks for a lovely relaxing holiday!

Fabulous
Absolutely stunning location and such an amazing view, always changing, always delightful, even in bad weather. Host was helpful and generous and on hand for any queries. Very comfortable bed in the master. Well equipped kitchen. Wonderful little cove great for swimming, fishing and climbing on the rocks. Perfect for 2 boys!

Good but challenging!
It takes approx 39 steep steps to the entrance of this property so if you are over 70 I would not consider staying unless you are really fit! The key for the property needs serious review as if your an older person as we were it's a tricky situation to locate the key it would have been much easier to have access to the key lockbox underneath bathroom window. We feel it is a property for families only will not return

Iconic Sounds retreat
The location and aspect for this stay are perfect. Iconic Marlborough Sounds. Remote, with wonderful views and birdsong. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It was all we needed for a short stay.
