"Very big hotel with open calm spaces to relax and enjoy music and a buffet of coffee tea and small snacks - felt like I could really unwind. Just a small note that English is not a language the staff speaks, so need to brush up on a little Japanese or rely on those Google translators ! But all are eager to please, and it’s a pleasure to experience the politeness and customer care of their culture. Their dinners are very authentic and delicious. Onsens are wonderful with very clean atmosphere."

The dinner and the breakfast are super good, and the night ramen is nice. The staff are helpful and nice. I will revisit it in the future for sure!"

"The Hanayura is fantastic. The facilities are old but it's all clean and well kept. The front doors smell of sulfur but that's because you're in an onsen town. The meals were fantastic. Very filling and very intricately prepared. Be aware that the meals may not be to everyone's taste. Or you may not notice the intricacy or details in the preparation. But you're here to experience a traditional ryokan and traditional meals. If that's not for you then you shouldn't pick some place like...
