Touristy but worth it, the history of the Cham people is intriguing and the architectural wonders and beauty of the this temple is magnificent! Definitely worth the day trip. I took a day trip from Hoi An, did the sunset tour, was fun but the temple was by far the best aspect of the tour.

Ruins from a forgotten past called My Son Ruins. Pronounced (Me Sun) also a Unesco world heritage sight.
My Son is an ancient temple complex located about 69km South of DaNang, Vietnam. This site is one of a kind in Vietnam, and is on par historically with the likes of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Unfortunately, most of the site was destroyed by US carpet bombing during the Vietnam War, but there are still plenty of intact buildings to check out. I traveled to the temples via motorcycle with friends, and when we arrived we had the entire complex to ourselves... no tourists, pesky guides, nor security guards.
