"Beautiful location, grounds and cabin. So close to glow worm caves and have their own little glow worm grotto on the property. Only a 60 second walk from the cabins. Also close to a waterfall and black sand beach. Angus was such a gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed including toast jams and coffee. "The surrounding is beautiful and close bye everything where we came for. Many lamps didn’t work. There were no pictures of the 2 sleeping eras below in the ship on the information site. "We were delighted to start our stay in NZ at Brooke and Charles’s place. Immediately, we were taken by the many birds singing and otherwise general quiet of the property. It is a working farm, so we enjoyed the chickens and cat wandering by. The patio offers a perfect seat for the sunset. The mornings offer views of fog settled in between the hills. The location is a short drive to Otorohanga and the Waitomo Caves area. Brooke was communicative and kind. "

"My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. "I was a bit leery about booking this lodge since i dont usually stay at motels. I booked it because there weren't many options available in waitomo and from what was available, this place had the best rating and looked ok. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised once we checked in. The room was spacious, very clean, had a kitchenette, good size fridge, lots of toiletries. We were able to use the laundry room ($4 NZD per machine). Check in was easy. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff....
