"We had a week here in September (10-17th) and loved every minute. We saw otters from the shore one day and did walks in every direction from the house. The weather treated us quite kindly and we managed to be outdoors for a good part of each day without getting (too!) wet. The house was so comfortable and well set up it was always a pleasure to return to. We slept so well too…all the fresh air and a super comfy bed. A great location for exploring Skye and the Glenelg area too."

"The property was quaint and as expected from other reviews and the listing details. It felt rather damp but there were electric fan heaters in each room which quickly warmed the place up. The Wi-Fi kept going off and we were unable to make the tv work but that wasn’t an issue as we were only there for two nights."

"Beautiful accommodation and location. Well equipped house, which needed a little decorating. The house was warm and cosy. We loved the drive over the pass down to Glenelg. The lock and view of Skye were spectacular. I loved watching the seals just off shore."

"Great location for us and all needed amenities. The view is spectacular and easily a place we would return to. Unfortunately, the shower drain was clogged on arrival so we had to unclog a large amount and also had to buy toilet paper as no spare was obviously seen. These were minor issues compared to how our holiday went. Thank you."

"We had a lovely stay in Kyle at this Vrbo. Good place to be to get to the Isle of Skye. Host was very pleasant. We walked all over town and to the bridge. We only stayed 2 nights. Next time I’d like to stay at least 3."

From the entertaining boat captain, Gus, to the modern decor of the cottage (with stunning views), this is the perfect destination for family/small-group gatherings or a quiet place to just unwind. "We spent a wonderful week in Moriston Cottage despite the rain. Everything was very clean and the cottage is very well equipped, we had everything we needed. There is everything in the kitchen if you want to cook and lots of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The beds are very comfortable. There is a lovely enclosed back garden which is good if you have a dog. There are plenty of really good restaurants in walking distance, and a lot more if you want to drive there (Applecross Inn, Gille...

"Our second stay at this lovely property was excellent. Blessed with amazing weather, we climbed many hills, conquered the In Pinn on Skye, and paddle boarded and swam in the beautiful Loch Duich. The house is excellent, very comfortable and well equipped. Many thanks!"

"WATCH OUT!!!! This property, and the people we interacted with for the reservation via Expedia, was a total scam. It starts with attractive photos on both Expedia and Hotels.com, but quickly gets sketchy with cryptic emails and texts regarding the reservation, payment and property details. Unfortunately, our trip was somewhat last minute, so we didn't have many local options for Skye, but this property / representatives were the absolute worst. STAY AWAY!!!"
