"This location is unbeatable, and we loved having so much room to spread out after a week of cramped hotel rooms, not to mention laundry facilities! The kitchen is extremely large, clean and well-stocked. Despite coastal fog every day but our last, the ocean view is stunning and coffee or wine on your own ocean view porch was a daily treat. Don't skip walking the Headlands Path, which has spectacular views. It was great to quickly walk to a delicious dinner at McCallum House, fabulous breakfasts...

"The rooms at the Rainbow Lodge are undergoing a significant upgrade. As we arrived, they were just re-hanging the door to our bathroom. Charles, the manager, does a great job of managing the work, and we were very comfortable with the accommodations. Our room was freshly painted, with new linen on the bed and blackout curtains on the windows. It also looked like we had a new microwave and minifridge. "I stayed here with a friend for a long weekend - we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Highlights were listening to the birds, the scent of the sweetgrass, a soak in the hot tub, and using this as a home base to explore the lovely coastal towns nearby. Jess left excellent and helpful instructions. We planned ahead for cooking on the induction burners/air fryer and the kitchen was pretty well appointed. We'd recommend a visit to Point Arena for two excellent bakeries - Franny's and Pelican Bread. Also...
