"We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's house. The house is cozy and equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. The location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and also to many local shops, bars and bistros. Newbiggin is the best base to explore many of the area's attractions: Lindisfarne, Newcastle or Yorkshire. Highly Recommended."

"This is a lovely cottage that is very well appointed. There is everything you may need in the kitchen, making it very easy to self cater. You can see Lindisfarne Castle from the back windows! Super location. This was our 3rd visit and we will return"

"A lovely spot for a few days away to relax and unwind. The property was clean and well-maintained and was a lovely base to explore beautiful Northumberland. The only downside was the noise from the adjacent busy road but it it did quieten down late evening. Would stay again"

"The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper. Lovely view of the sea in the distance. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience, the beds are very comfortable, essentials for a kitchen, nice shower. It’s amazing what comforts they have managed to fit into that space. Be prepared for some traffic noise as it’s close to a fairly busy road. LOVED Bamburgh, strolling magnificent beaches in the area and a day of exploring Holy Island. Lots to do that’s for sure."

"We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future."

"Reception was good if a little slow to get us signed in. We were at a family wedding which we knew would mean getting back late so looking for bed & breakfast only. Hotel matched our needs. Only issue was the bathroom smelt of cat wee. Since we didn't get back till late no one on reception to sort it out. Pity as I would have given the hotel a higher score. "
