MI paradise!
This cabin and grounds are truly beautiful and amazing! The owners were gracious and quick to answer any questions we had. We planned some ‘cabin only’ days during our trip to MI and I’m so glad we did. We enjoyed our time at this cabin so much! It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind!! A MI paradise!

Beautiful Solitude
This is a beautiful and peaceful setting and an amazing cabin. Definitely a remote location, but with an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna there is everything you need to just sit back, relax and recharge and, the dock offers the ability to try your hand at fishing or just enjoy sitting in the sun. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a luxurious cabin experience. Owners were very prompt to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We will definitely return.

Family Vacation
This cabin was amazing! First, prompt is an understatement to describe how fast the owners will get back to you if you have any problems, no matter how small and they are extremely thorough in making sure the problem gets solved! The pool and hot tub room were a special extra that we loved using to spend more time as a family just relaxing. We spent a lot of time on the dock enjoying the incredible view and the lake water was warm and a nice depth to be able to enjoy while still being able to touch the bottom. Everything about this cabin was wonderful and relaxing. It is quite a ways from sight seeing, however, I think everything is pretty spread out in the UP so it was not an inconvenience to us at all. We just took our time and enjoyed ourselves. The internet was a little spotty but again, you are in the middle of amazing wilderness and on vacation so it didn't bother us but if you are needing to work or something, it is just something to be aware of. This cabin had everything we needed to be able to relax and recharge! We will definitely be back!

Jaw Dropping
This property is AMAZING! From start to finish, this was by far the best vacation and best rental we have stayed at. Tim and Melanie are so kind. The house is like a dream come true, from the gate opening, to the parking pad, to the porches, to the dock & lake, to the pool room. Everything is just as listed. Hosts had great communication. It was like living as royalty for a week. My mother wants to buy some of the same decorations, like the lights to the dock and the kitchen lights. We explored the area, UP is just magical. I am so glad we made the drive there, so many treasures, especially this home. We are already planning to return!

Very nice property
The dock area is great for boats, OK for swimming (you do also have an indoor pool) as it's fairly shallow around the dock (<4' deep). Two boats could easily dock here.

We came here for mother's day and really enjoyed the cabin. You can see all hard work put into this home, and ot had everything you could possibly need. The views were amazing, and the pool was fun! Owners are easy to communicate with, and a joy to talk to.

Amazingly peaceful stay
My husband, our 2 children and myself stayed at the property as part of our spring break. This place is awesome! This has got to be the most luxurious cabin we have ever stayed in. The pool/hot tub area was wonderfully maintained and the pool was warm upon our arrival. Plenty of firewood was provided and we used the indoor fireplace daily. Ample cooking supplies were provided, even skewers for smores which I had forgotten. The grounds and lake were expansive and private. Mr. and Mrs. Hockaday were wonderful host, very informative and knowledgeable. We look forward to saying again in the summer.

Relaxing Oasis
All I can say is WOW! This cottage was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful and quiet, just what our little family needed. It was a bit rainy the first day but luckily we had no plans for the day and plenty to do inside. Our 4 year old LOVED the pool room! The covered patio was also nice to be able to still sit outside and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and cool breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely go back again!

Family get together
Beautiful cabin and beautiful surroundings! Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was there. The pool area was amazing and the overall stay was an at home feeling. Our plans changed a little at the end and we had some family that was staying at Van riper state park come the last day. We decided to renew our wedding vows. Truly amazing property to make memories with your family
We have stayed quite a few places, but nothing compares to this property. The owners have done an amazing job with little touches that makes your vacation effortlessly easy and relaxing. We had four adults and a five year old in our party. Again, enough cannot be said about the care in which the owners express through the little touches, but also the welcome phone call to walk through the elements of the property. The pool, sauna, and hot tub were amazing. The kitchen and outdoor kitchen were my personal favorite. The dock and amount of seating options around the property and inside truly give everyone in your party an opportunity to catch a breathtaking view of the water. Inside, the decor and facilities were just amazing. The showers were inviting, and our little one loved the whirlpool upstairs. If you have the opportunity to stay, do it. Bring your family. We have built so many now cherished memories together from our stay. Special thank you to the owners!! JGK and family.

Great Place to Get Away
Our stay here was great and the house was beautiful! The pool and hot tub were amazing, especially on rainy days. The house was very well- stocked for towels, soap, paper products, etc. The covered deck and grill were convenient, and the lake access was pretty accessible for kayaks.
