Beautiful Property, Nightmare Booking Experience
The property was undeniably beautiful and spacious, but the pre-arrival process was a disaster. I booked a Global Luxury Suites hotel via hotels.com, only to find it was actually the Skymark building, owned by Churchill. I opted to pay upon arrival, yet my card was charged in full 7-10 days before my stay without any explanation.
Attempts to resolve this with hotels.com failed; they couldn't contact the company. A search for "Global Luxury Suites, Reston VA" revealed it didn't exist. I received a suspicious email demanding photos of my credit card, which I refused to provide.
Desperate for clarity, I called the headquarters, only to be rerouted to a Medicare hotline and various dead ends. Eventually, I discovered this wasn't Global Luxury Suites, but Skymark.
The billing department insisted on the credit card photos for a "3D secure" form, threatening to withhold check-in instructions. This form offered no security assurance, and my card had already been charged in full!
This experience was marred by mismanagement and shady practices. The beautiful property couldn't overshadow the incompetence behind the scenes. Be cautious if you book here.
