Genial!
Estuvimos este verano toda mi familia, 8 adultos y tres niños y estuvimos fenomenal Una casa amplia, limpia, en una zona tranquila pero a 10 min de la playa y de Rethymno en coche, con barbacoa y piscina y mucho espacio exterior para los niños Marina y Basile, dueños de la casa, un encanto, pendientes en todo momento de que nuestra estancia fuera perfecta y así fue Sin duda alguna para repetir Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo

Très agréable séjour
Séjour à la Villa Danna optimal pour notre groupe de 9 personnes. Accueil et contacts très sympathiques avec les propriétaires. Maison parfaite, intimité de chacun, tout le nécessaire est à disposition. Vue sur la mer, et les Lefka Ori, au milieu des oliviers. Proche des commerces et restaurants (Prines et Gerani). Une semaine de plus aurait été idéale.

Great villa in a relaxing, rural setting
Beautiful villa in a fantastic setting, that was an amazing place to relax. A superb space that we thoroughly enjoyed as a family of 9, with views that can only be described as idyllic! The host was always quick to respond to any queries and a pleasure to meet in person.

Runder Geburtstag mit Familie und Freunden
Es war unvergesslich!!! Die Villa entsprach absolut der Beschreibung. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. In einer unerwarteten landschaftlich traumhaften Natur wurde der Sinn für diesen Platz vollends erfüllt. Der herrliche Duft verschiedener Blumen und Blüten gaben das restliche. Man spürte die Liebe des Eigentümers an seinem Besitz! Wir Großstadtpflanzen genossen die natürliche Ruhe. Außer einem Grillennest störte NICHTS!!!

Fantastic villa
The villa was fantastic and had everything you would want. The pool was lovely and there were also places you could sit in the shade especially a very comfortable hammock chair hanging from a tree. Although the local village is only a 15 minute walk away i would say you definitely need a car. We wish we could of stayed longer

A home away from home. What a wonderful stay
I have just come back from spending a wonderful stay at Villa Danna. Our party (myself, my two young children 10 & 7) and my best friends family (2 adults and 3 children, 1 and half, 7 & 11) stayed at the villa for 12 days. I am not someone that normally tends to leave reviews but after such a wonderful holiday I felt compelled to so that others could hopefully benefit from such a lovely "home away from home". The villa is absolutely lovely and in my humble opinion the pictures do not do it justice. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival and Bill (the owner) was awaiting us (and we didn't arrive until 1am!). Where the villa is situated offers a privacy, amazing views (the sunset from the huge upper balcony is beautiful!) and space for all. Great places to come together as a group and eat / socialise including the lovely outside kitchen / BBQ. The pool was fabulous, a great size (looks amazing when you switch on the pool lights at night!). A short walk to Prines and a short drive to Rethymno. Lastly but not least my thanks to the family (Marina, Bill, Stratianna, Helena, Mike) I cannot thank you all enough for your warmth, kindness & advice of where to go / what to see). Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your villa and for making our holiday so special. I absolutely recommend this villa and I hope others experience both the villa and the wonderful family who own it. Hope to see you all again soon. Justin

A wonderful 2 weeks
We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Villa Danna. Stratianna and family were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The villa has large rooms and each bedroom is en-suite. The upstairs balcony was perfect for both breakfast and watching the sunset in the evenings. The outside area was extensive with a lovely pool and separate bbq area. We also enjoyed walking into Prines in the evening for dinner with its 3 tavernas, pharmacy and mini market. Would definitely return!

Simply Amazing!!
Everything you want in a property this has. Excellent hosts. Always available to answer questions about the property and the region. Location. The property is centrally located on the island. You can go anywhere in a few hours. Located near Rethymo and walking distance to Prines. Prines is away from tourists you can actually just enjoy life. The entire experience was super rewarding. Thank you Last but not least the house. Everyone has space to unwind. Upstairs, downstairs, outside on the decks and the pool area. Simply spectacular. Thanks again

Tolles Haus und sehr nette Vermieter
Das Haus war sehr sauber, top Ausgestattet und alles war im besten Zustand. Pool und Außenanlage sehr gepflegt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Ein Mietwagen ist in der Lage ein muss. Das Haus kann man nur empfehlen, sehr gerne wieder!

Just perfect!
The villa is located away fromt he coast in a lovely rual spot - olive groves and lovely localvilages with great tavernas and shops and was a perfect spot to get away fromt he hustle an dbustle but only a 10-15 min drive into rethymno or nearby beaches andalso is well placed to drive to the south coast too or further west. the villa is perfect and well equipped with a lovely pool and loverly spots to sit and chill. But what made the holiday even better was the welcoming hospitality of Marina and her family who ere always on hand when needed and so friendly and helpful with advice when needed. Really the most perfect spot to enjoy beautiful Crete!

Beautiful property and fantastic hosts
We had a fantastic stay at villa Danni. Stratianna was there to meet us on arrival, even at midnight! Her communication was great and very helpful. The property was clean, airy and the views were stunning. We never tired of the sunsets! The pool was a lovely size with plenty of outdoor furniture for all. The WiFi was reliable and we were very happy there. Vasilis and my dad went off for breakfast together and set the world to right and Marina treated him to her home baked delights. Such kind people. My only recommendation would be to have a second set of keys for guests. As the property is so big it is likely to accommodate more than one family and it would offer easier independence in larger groups. I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful villa and we hope to return one day. Thank you Davi family!

Wonderful family run business
Fabulous property, location and people. The villa is tastefully designed and furnished. It seems like a lot of love went into it. The olive groves are magnificent some trees being over five hundred years old. The owners of the property are so helpful and friendly. An ideal spot for all the family. We all loved Crete, but having this villa just made the holiday an unforgettable experience.

The villa is wonderful, even better in real life than the pictures suggests. It’s spacious, the bedrooms and baths are nice and the outdoor area is just lovely. The hosts are also very helpful and easy to communicate with. For our party of ten (two families with children agee between 6 and 14) this was the perfect place to stay during our vacation.

Memorable experience
We stayed here for five days in June 2022 and had a wonderful time. Villa Dana is spacious and the location is simply amazing with views of the coastline . The sunset view from the balcony is unforgettable. Villa Dana it self is a charming oasis surrounded by olive trees, and vibrant flowering plants. The owner Stratiana is very helpful and was prompt in her responses to queries. Her parents Vasilie and Mariana were always so willing and helpful with guidance on local areas to visit . Their hospitality made our experience a memorable one. I highly recommend Villa Dana as and hope to return in the near future

5 amis séniors dans une maison fonctionnelle, où l'on peut rayonner dans l'ile. La villa est bien cachée dans le paysage [l'utilisation du gps est un plus pour se repérer]. Un séjour très calme avec les bons conseils du propiétaire

The perfect summer family break
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. The studio flat was perfect my me, my husband and new baby and the rest of the party stayed in the main house. The shallow separate section of the pool is a good addition. We barbecued almost every day too. It’s great having Marina and her family so close, especially as we needed a doctor and she booked us an appointment very promptly. The kitchen is on the small side for the size of the villa. Close to towns and beaches but also very quiet and away from main roads too. We would 100% consider staying again.

Fabulous villa,pool and garden near Rethymno
We had a really wonderful 10 days in Villa Danna. The house is perfect for the large group of 10. Immaculately presented and clean. Each room with en-suite bathrooms, and private balconies. Our hosts Marina and Vassilis were the warmest and loveliest people you could wish for. The welcome basket of fruit and wine was so generous and the Cretan spirit of Filoxenia - hospitality and warm generosity, was evident from day one. Marina offered fantastic advice about beaches, tavernas, and where to shop, as well as recommending the best homemade icecream from a neighbour. Vassilis offered such support and help when one of our party needed a hospital visit., driving us to Rethymnon and patiently waiting with us. We met all the family at a party and were invited to join in the dancing and festivities. We really felt like part of their family and were honoured to be invited to plant an olive tree in their olive grove before we departed. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here, as getting to know these lovely people made our holiday even more special.So much more memorable than an anonymous resort by the coast. The views from the house are superb with sunsets over the sea and mountains in the distance. Marina was also really helpful in connecting us up with someone who could sort out our trip to Samaria Gorge - a fabulous day of walking if that's the sort of thing you like. The gorge was very busy in July - but still a highlight of our holiday. The pool and garden are kept beautifully - each morning Vassilis cleans and hoses down the pool area. Thank you so much from all of us to our lovely hosts and family in Crete.

Es ist eine sehr schöne Villa mit einem wunderschönen großen Garten mit vielen alten Olivenbäumen. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Anfahrt ist etwas kompliziert. Es gibt kein Schild, wo es zur Villa Danna geht. die Hausbesitzer sind sehr nett und sehr hilfbereit. Der Anfahrtsweg ist zwar beschrieben und ab einem bestimmten Treffpunkt leitet der Hausherr zur Villa. Ein Mietwagen ist erforderlich, wenn man ans Meer will oder nach Prines in den nächsten Ort zum Einkaufen oder in die Taverne. Der Weg zurück ins Haus ist vor allem bei Nacht eine Herausforderung. Das Haus ist sehr gut geeignet für Familien oder Gruppen. Wir waren eine Yogagruppe und fanden das Haus mit den großen Terrassen zum Yogaüben und die stillen Plätze zum meditieren ideal.

Zeer comfortabel en luxueus huis, rustig gelegen en gemakkelijk om rethy Mon en chania, binnenland en zuidkust te verkennen. Zeer goed restaurant en goedkoop in prinses. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars. Een echte aanrader.
