Lovely villa
This is a beautiful villa with extremely nice hosts who left a delicious Moussaka on the first evening. Its perfect for two families , there is plenty of space both inside and outside with the grounds being particularly nice. The pool is great , we had it heated as it was at the end of the season. You probably need a car as its little remote but there are mini markets nearby. We used both the pizza oven and bbq which were really nice evenings. I would highly recommend this villa We used

Amazing villa centrally located between Heraklion and Chania, as well as near highways.
The villa location is right in the middle of Crete, about equidistant to Chania and Heraklion, as well as near the major highway that connects north to south - making it ideal for travelling around. The villa was an amazing place to stay, spacious, modern and full of amenities. Steam shower - Gym, Heat Pool - Pool Table - Ping Pong table - Outdoor cooking (We hired private chef for a few nights) just to name a few. The hosts met us upon arrival and provided a great tour and details needed for the stay and were very gracious. They were very helpful with information about the island and recommended places, restaurants and things to do. Would highly recommend the villa!

Velvet Breeze
This villa is absolutely stunning, from the moment we walked through the gates we were blown away! Kiki and Thomas were there to greet us and show us around, Kiki had made one of her famous "made with love" moussaka's and it didn't disappoint! The villa was absolutely spotless, we found no faults, from the spectacular sunrise at the back of the villa to the stunning sunset at the front of the villa! Everything we needed for our stay was ready and available. The grounds of the property are just as stunning as the property it's self with several seating areas around the stunning pool. We also made great use of the Poole table inside and the ping pong table outside ! There was lots of information available within the villa for days out etc, and Kiki was available if we needed anything ! There is a bus stop located near by ,taxi service available and a few local shops,cafe and restaurants available near by. We would absolutely love to return one day to this villa.It was beyond our expectations. We shall keep Kiki and Thomas updated with our souvenirs yearly !!! Thank you for hosting us !!!

Beautiful Villa and fantastic hosts
We were two families with 5 kids (age 6 - 13) and the villa was perfect. Spotlessly clean, spacious, very tastefully decorated with everything we needed for a weeks stay. The outside area is beautiful and the sunsets from the balcony are stunning. KiKi our host could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Would 100% recommend.

Absolute heaven on earth!
You see lovely pictures in brochures but often the reality disappoints, not this time, the communication before we went, the arrival greeting and overall villa were just fantastic. The villa is tucked away like a diamond in the rough but boy is it worth it - beautifully designed with the bedrooms on the lower ground making the most of the sea views from the terrace above where you can watch the sunsets while sipping G&T or wine. The weather was also perfect with long sunny days and calm balmy evenings - the air conditioning made sleeping comfortable and everything was just so lovely - we cannot thank Thomas and Kiki enough for their attention to detail. Thomas' design and planting of the garden made for an oasis. The welcoming Moussaka was a treat and delicious. Being away from the crowded tourist spots, we found the neighbours welcoming as they waved hello from their terraces as we walked by. The local supermarket and beach restaurant staff were also friendly and the latter found it funny to watch us brits take shots of complimentary tequila when we ate there. If I had to make any recommendation to fellow travellers, I would say hire a car as the villa, although only 20 mins walk from local restaurant and small supermarket, it is quite a way when it is 30 degrees, few pavements and carrying bottles of water back. We managed to hire one for three days while there meant we could travel further and enjoy the local caves and towns. Highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful villa & location, amazing hosts!
We have just had an lovely week in this amazing villa. It was so much bigger than it looked in photos meaning we had plenty of space as 8 adults and 2 children. Kiki and Thomas kindly organised an extra mattress for us too. The sunsets from the terrace are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen every single night. Our flight was delayed and diverted on our way out so we arrived very late. Kiki kept in contact and made sure we arrived OK. She also left her delicious homemade mousakka in the oven for us :) There are some great restaurants withing a few mins drive and we visited the old town Rhythmno a couple of times for dinner too (15/20mins by car). Bali beach is a must visit. Thank you to Kiki and Thomas for all your help and allowing us to stay in your beautiful villa!

Fantastic holiday - highly recommend !
Our stay was fantastic. Kiki & Thomas are carying, helpful and really lovely. The house and the garden are an absolut dream. The pictures don't show the small pool. so it was a nice surprise for the little one (4yrs.) We had everything we needed and enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset (you have a stunning view) and playing billiard. Thank you Kiki & Thomas for everything 🌞❤

Fabulous villa and wonderful hosts!
We had a lovely week and wanted to stay longer! Lovely position not too high up the hill, enough for wonderful views of the sunset over the sea, but easily accessible by car. Some great restaurants nearby, and bakery and supermarkets wirhin walking distance. Kiki kindly made us moussaka for dinner on our first night and was very helpful showing us around. We all enjoyed the pool, and the boys loved ping pong, gym equipment and pool table. The villa is amazing!

Wonderful Villa
The villa is absolutely great. It has a wonderful seaview with nice sunsets, a beautiful garden which Thomas created, a big private pool, nice bedrooms with comfortable beds. And so many special things like the hamam, the billard table or the table tennis which we used a lot. Kiki welcomed us very friendly with homemade mousaka and raki. Kiki and Thomas are very nice and did everything to make us feel comfortable. We definately recommend a stay in this house. Thank you Kiki and Thomas!

Alles war perfekt!
Wir haben mit Familie und Freunden die Herbstferien verbracht. Der Empfang von Thomas, dem Eigentümer war sehr gut. Da wir teilweise später anreisten wurde uns sogar gekocht. Die Villa war sehr sauber und man merkt das sich der Eigentümer selbst um das Objekt kümmert. Auch sonst war der Kontakt sehr angenehm und bei Rückfragen wurde schnell reagiert. Wir würden wieder kommen. Danke an Thomas für den tollen Aufenthalt!!

Familienurlaub
Wir haben alle Bewertungen vorher gelesen und waren schon sehr gespannt auf die schöne Villa. Schon bei der Ankunft konnten wir alle schönen Bilder in Natur bewundern und Kiki hat uns herzlich begrüßt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Überraschung im Ofen, sie war sehr lecker🙏. Wir haben die Küche alle gemeinsam gut genutzt. Die defekte Kaffeemaschine wurde Blitz schnell von Thomas ersetzt. Die Terrassen haben wir für alle Mahlzeiten und gemeinsame Zeit sehr viel genutzt Der Aufbau der Villa, wie auch der sehr schön angelegte Garten gibt die Möglichkeit Zeit gemeinsam zu verbringen, gibt jedoch auch jedem die Möglichkeit sich zurückzuziehen. Wir haben jeden Tag sehr genossen. Es ist zu merken, dass Kiki und Thomas die Gastfreundschaft in der schönen Villa sehr am Herzen liegt, es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Wir danken euch für die schöne Zeit in dem Paradies, was ihr geschaffen habt. UND SAGEN DANKE!! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Alles passte!
Die Velvet-Breeze-Superior-Villa beschreiben, wo soll man da anfangen? Am Besten bei der herzlichen Begrüßung und dem ersten Gang durch die Anlage. Zur Überraschung stand eine für uns zubereitete Mussaka bereit. Alles passte! Auf der Homepage wurden unsere Erwartungen geweckt, in der Villa vollständig erfüllt. Wir haben uns mit acht Personen in drei Generationen äusserst wohl gefühlt. Das Kochen in der großzügigen Küche, Grillen in der Aussenküche und dort auch Pizza backen hat uns viel Freude bereitet. Der liebevoll gestaltete und sehr gepflegte Garten mit seiner Sitzecke, der tolle Pool, Spiel- und Freizeitmöglichkeiten, die Terrassen zum Garten und zum Meer haben uns zu jeder Tageszeit bequeme und schattige Plätze geboten. Nach erlebnisreichen Tagen dann der erholsame Schlaf in gut ausgestatteten Schlafräumen mit bequemen Betten. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt, als wäre es unser eigenes Zuhause. Und zum Abschied gab dann noch eine herzliche Verabschiedung und ein kleines Erinnerungsgeschenk, das hier nicht verraten wird. Fahrt selber hin und lasst Euch überraschen. Danke Kiki, Danke Thomas!

My family and I had the most incredible time at Thomas and Kiki’s home. Our hosts were so welcoming (loved Kiki’s moussaka and baklava). The home itself was very comfortable. Incredible sunsets on the front balcony, lazy days spent beside the pool, great restaurants and supermarkets close by. We really hope to be back one day - we all absolutely loved it!

Luxurious Villa set in beautiful landscaped gardens
This villa does not disappoint on any level. Thomas and Kiki are the most delightful couple you could ever meet. The warm welcome you receive on arrival along with the famous moussaka do not disappoint. They genuinely want you to have the best holiday at their gorgeous villa and you can see how much pride they take in looking after it and maintaining the grounds and pool. They are just a phone call away if you ever need them. Not that we did because everything was just wonderful. The pool is heated to a lovely temperature and is a great size. The gardens look even better than in the photos as they are somewhat more established and are just beautiful. There is always sun and shade available for everyone throughout the day round the pool and in the garden. The view of the sun setting from the balcony is just breathtaking. The layout of the villa is well thought out. Even the view from the kitchen window you can see the sea and also watch the farmers working in the fields and see olive grows dotted on the landscape. The air conditioning is fantastic, the rooms are clean and spacious. The small village of Stavromenos is walkable and has some lovely restaurants and tavernas. There are also a couple of mini markets if you don’t have a hire car. If you haven’t visited Crete before I would highly recommend the Island and staying at this villa. We have come back relaxed, chilled and most importantly with lots of lovely memories because it was just perfect.

Exceptional Villa
We were a party of 8, 6 adults and 2 children but the villa is spacious enough to ensure that it never felt crowded. All the bedrooms are a good size with spacious beds and plenty of wardrobe space. The villa is well laid out and well equipped and the pool and gardens are a delight. In short, what you see in the video, you get. It was well into the 30's centigrade during our stay so the pool was especially welcome and the aircon coped admirably. There are plenty of outdoor eating areas if you fancy eating in and the wood fired pizza oven is fun to use and produces great pizzas. There is parking enough for 4 or 5 cars and the approach road doesn't make you nervous for your rental car like many we have experienced. Shops and supermarkets are easily reached and easy to park at. More than all this, however, are the wonderful hosts, Kiki and Thomas. Many have commented on Kiki's legendary welcome moussaka and it didn't disappoint. It was really welcome after a long day travelling. She and Thomas are friendly, genuinely welcoming and quickly respond to any queries or problems.

Heaven on Crete
Unser Urlaub lies keine Wünsche offen! Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise alles perfekt gelaufen. Die Vermieter Thomas und Kiki haben uns empfangen und standen immer für unsere Wünsche bzw Fragen zur Verfügung. Die Villa ist in einem super Zustand, so setzte die Erholung von der ersten Minute ein. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und uns hat es an nicht gefehlt. Im Ort selbst gibt es alles was man benötigt (Lebensmittel, etc.) und die Villa hat eine tolle Lage, um die Insel zu erkunden. Wenn wir mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben könnten, würden wir es tun!! Super Villa, super Anlage, SUPER Gastgeber!! Danke für die tolle Zeit bei Euch auf Kreta!

Hallo, wir sind mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen in die Villa gezogen. Der erste Eindruck der Villa war gut. Der Außenbereich von der Villa ist sehr schön und man fühlt sich hier sofort wohl. In der Villa gab es kleinere Mängel, die aber nicht störten. Leider gab es nur sehr wenig Putzmöglichkeiten und nach einer gewissen Zeit war immer mehr Schmutz zu sehen. Wir aber keine Möglichkeit hatten es selber zu bereinigen, da die Putzsachen verschlossen sind, Die Klima-Anlage funktionierte selten bis gar nicht, leider haben wir Sie nicht zum laufen bekommen. Ansonsten hat man in der Villa einen sehr schönen Sonnenuntergang und man erreicht mit dem Auto oder Roller alles in nur wenigen Minuten. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit auf Kreta.

Paradise in Crete
We arrived late in the evening and our host Thomas was waiting to show us around the property. He went into detail about the area and gave us suggestions for what to do and see in Crete. As he was leaving, he opened the oven and showed us the moussaka warming in the oven that his wife Kiki had prepared for us. After a very long day of traveling it was the perfect gift! The gardens, grounds and pool put many 5 star resorts to shame. The surrounding area is beautiful with views of both the sea and the mountains. The house is spacious and includes a number of spots to rest and enjoy the view. The grill and pizza oven are thoughtfully stocked with local olive wood to inspire your work. It is heaven to enjoy a glass of wine, the warmth of the setting sun and the soft breeze while you work on the grill. No detail is missed including down pillows. Traumhaft schöne Villa wie ein Traum
Wir waren im Mai 2023 bei Thomas und Kiki mit unseren Erwachsenen Kindern und Freunden um den Geburtstag von meiner Frau zu feiern. Was soll man sagen……es gibt nichts zu meckern, ein traumhaft schönes Anwesen genau so wie auf den Bildern, da ist kein Photoshop erforderlich um es schön darzustellen, es ist super schön. Es fehlt einem an nichts, zum einkaufen muss man auch nicht weit gehen, ist alles in der Nähe. Wenn das Wetter mal nicht so gut war kann der Pool beheizt werden. Die Vermieter Thomas und Kiki sind total lieb und wenn was ist kümmern sie sich gleich darum. Können nur jedem empfehlen auch mal diese schöne Villa zu genießen. Martín und Claudia mit Familie

Enjoyable Family Week
This property was exactly how it looked in the images, with the added bonus of a small pool for our 2 year old. Great views over the sea and sunsets in the evening. The moussaka was a tasty addition for the first night. Kiki and Thomas were also very responsive to any requests which put our minds at rest. A thoroughly enjoyable week away.

Velvet Breeze passt absolut !!!
Wir waren 1 Woche in der Villa. 2 Erwachsene , 3 Kinder. Die Villa bietet allen Komfort, Swimming Pool war beheizt (gegen Aufpreis) und wir konnten trotz wechselhaftem Wetter im Pool schwimmen. Wegen Gewitter gab es zweimal einen Stromausfall, aber Thomas hat sich sofort um alles gekümmert. Thomas und Kiki waren jederzeit ansprechbar, absolut super !! Unsere Kinder waren auch so begeistert von der Villa (und dem dazugehörigen Spielplatz), so dass wir sie regelrecht überreden mussten, auch mal zum Sight-Seeing die Villa zu verlassen. Wir konnten leider, aufgrund der Wetterlage, nicht alle Facilities wie Grillplatz etc. nutzen...... aber das heisst für uns , dass wir mal zur Sommersaison wieder kommen müssen ! Nicht zu vergessen - Sophia hat extra für uns am Anreisetag einen super leckeren Moussaka gemacht - einfach köstlich ! Und zum Abschied hat uns Kiki eine junge Olivenpflanze zur Erinnerung geschenkt. Fazit: Außergewöhnlich tolle Betreuung, super großzügige Villa , absolut empfehlenswert !!

Excellent villa, terrific location, fabulous hosts!
Velvet Breeze is a very spacious and modern villa with everything that families will need. The outdoor and garden/pool area is beautiful - plenty of relaxing areas to find sun or shade during the day. The villa is well located near to Rethymno which is a beautiful town and also well located for visiting Heraklion and Chania plus the south coast. The small village of Stavromenos is walkable and has quite a few decent little restaurants and tavernas plus mini-markets etc. And the hosts, Kiki and Thomas - wow! I doubt you'll find more welcoming and helpful hosts anywhere else in Crete! Thoroughly recommended.
