Wundervolle Ferien
Wir haben die Ferienwoche in der Villa Malena genossen. Die Gartenanlage ist wunderschön und auch das Ferienhaus hat voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Super war auch, dass es in allen Räumen Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern gab. Nochmals ein ganz großes Dankeschön an unsere liebe Gastgeber-Familie. Sie haben uns einen wunderschönen Empfang bereitet und ihre nette und freundliche Art hat unseren Urlaub verschönert.

Nice villa and lovely hosts
The villa was really nice, suitable for two families of 9 total. Friendly hosts, very welcoming. Walking distance is a bit of a stretch, if you are grocery shopping the distance is a bit far in the warmth. Would recommend having a rental car, Think Villa recommended a rental car service that delivered the car to the villa. There is also an option to get groceries delivered. All in all service minded, nice and welcoming people that we would highly recommend!

Peaceful location, stunning garden, friendly hosts
Our family had a truly wonderful stay at the villa. The location was peaceful, and the villa boasted a beautiful garden with palm trees and a refreshing swimming pool. The hosts were friendly and caring, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. One of the unique features of the villa was its very own football field, which was a hit with our children. Although restaurants and shops were within proximity, having a car proved essential for us to fully enjoy our vacation. We highly recommend this villa to those seeking a tranquil getaway, with the understanding that having a car will greatly enhance the experience.

Boligen levede helt op til vore forventninger, og vores værtsfolk var helt perfekte, de reagerede promte hvis vi tog kontakt til dem. Vi var nok lidt sent ude på året, det var dårligt vejr og meget var lukket ned. Så der manglede lidt aktiviteter til de store børn. Men alt i alt et fremragende hus.

A lovely place
Villa Malena is a lovely place equipped with a swimming pool and all the facilities for a hassle-free holiday. It is located within a walking distance (10min downhill -15min uphill on your way back) from the sea shore, shops and restaurants (though you'd be hard pressed to walk away from the idyllic and well kept garden with a variety of palm trees, plants and flowers). The house was spacious enough to accomodate a group of 9 adults. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and kept informed about everything we needed to know during our stay. If you want to see the marvels of Crete, a car is a must. ThinkVilla Team was very helpful in finding the best deal, which is much appreciated! No complaints, highly recommended!

Beautiful villa with garden
This beautiful, spacious villa had an added bonus of a huge garden with magnificent palm trees and a lovely pool. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The owners were lovely and friendly & on-hand for any query. A fair walk down the hill to supermarket , beach & taverna if you have small children but that was the only minor negative. Overall a brilliant stay!

A fabulous villa with pool and football pitch!
This was a superb, clean and well- equipped villa for two families of 4. The pool and garden areas being the highlight- and of course, the football pitch- what a find! The owners were so friendly and helpful- providing us with a warm welcome, plentiful clean linens and restaurant recommendations. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch. Our holiday was 9th-15th April so a lot of places were closed due to being out of season hence the 4 stars for location. Overall, we would highly recommend the villa and the beautiful island of Crete.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Villa Malena, unsere Gastgeber haben uns herzlich empfangen und waren sehr hilfsbereit. Nur die Betten waren uns allen etwas zu hart - aber ansonsten hat alles gepasst.

Stunning !!!
Beautiful villa and grounds, spotlessly clean. Made to feel very welcome by Giorgos and his family ,on our arrival greeted us with spinach pie and a welcome drink. Always on hand if needed. Plenty of shade in stunning garden for the children to play. We were a party of 9 including 4 children and there was plenty of space for sveryone. Would definitely recommend villa and will return although perhaps when not so hot !! Thanks also to Valia for all her help over the last few months.

Schönes Haus, jedoch kleiner als erwartet. Für 10 Erwachsenen nicht geeignet. Für Familien schon geeignet. Ruhezeiten müssen streng eingehalten werden. Die schöneren Stände sind leider erwas weiter entfernt (20 Minuten oder länger). Sehr freundliche Einheimische. Wunderschöne Aussicht aufs Meer.

This is a pleasant, well-equipped villa for a week’s holiday with a young family. The walk to the beach was longer than we expected, and uphill on the way back. A car is probably essential for transporting a young family. We had a warm welcome.

Een comfortabel huis, waar je je snel thuis voelt.
We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Villa Malena. Het huis bood genoeg ruimte voor ons gezelschap van 5 volwassenen en 2 jonge kinderen. Het weer werkte mee, dus we hebben volop gebruik gemaakt van de aantrekkelijke tuin, met het zwembad, de ligbedden, het terras, de barbecue en het fijne prieel, waar we menig maaltijd genuttigd hebben. Ook het voetbalveld werd gewaardeerd. De keuken was prettig voorzien van allerlei kookattributen, zodat we prima voor onszelf konden zorgen. Mede mogelijk gemaakt door de eigenaren (onze buren) en zijn vrouw, die zo aardig waren ons van de eerste levensbehoeften te voorzien (nodig i.v.m. de winkel- en restaurantsluiting in het paasweekend). Taverna's genoeg op loopafstand van het huis, overigens. Allemaal even gastvrij. Het dorpje Sfakaki, was in het voorseizoen verre van bruisend en de strandjes waren onaantrekkelijk. Dus, voor wat vertier had je wel een auto nodig. Toen de winkels weer open waren, was de plaatselijke supermarkt wel een toegevoegde waarde. Kon je gewoon naar toe wandelen. Met de auto waren er voldoende leuke stranden en stadjes in de buurt. Rhetymno is dan vlakbij en erg gezellig.voor een bezoek in de namiddag en avond. Een bijkomend pluspunt voor deze woning was de uitstekende wifi. Genoeg voor 5 volwassenen met meerdere devices, zelfs aan het zwembad en tot diep in de tuin. Het huis en zwembad werden midweeks ook nog schoongemaakt. Dat had voor ons niet gehoeven, gewoon het wisselen van bedlinnen en handdoeken was genoeg geweest. Het contact met Valia van Think, verdient ook nog een pluim. Zij was in de aanloop naar onze vakantie van grote waarde. Heeft op ons bombardement aan vragen zeer adequaat gereageerd. Kortom, een heel fijn huis, waar we ons allen thuis voelden, met dank aan de eigenaren voor hun hartelijke welkom en ondersteuning daar waar nodig. Wij zouden deze woning zeker aanbevelen aan volgende huurders.

Tolles Haus mit super Lage und tollen Vermietern!
Das Haus und der Garten mit Pool sind wunderschön - perfekt für einen relaxten Urlaub mit Freunden und der Familie! Die Lage ist ebenfalls klasse, da alles wichtige (inkl. Strand) auch fussläufig erreichbar ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, zuvorkommend und haben ein perfektes Auge für alles was einem den Aufenthalt so komfortabel und angenehm wie nur möglich macht. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und hätten gerne länger hier verbracht!

Lovely Villa, Great View!
10 of us stayed in the villa (4 adults,6 Kids). It’s a perfect villa for 2 families and the pool and garden are great for evening BBQ's. The view is lovely, and we relaxed into the sunny Crete lifestyle amazingly. George and his wife are very welcoming with fresh juice and spinach pie on arrival. George even took us to the local supermarket for supplies and showed us some local restaurants that were very good. The property manager Valia is always speedy to respond to emails and very helpful. The villa area is more rural than we thought but even still it worked very well, the beach is a 10min walk away and generally quiet due to being rural. The busier beaches are towards Rethimno and the old town is fantastic! I would advise having a car, so you can see more of the area but again Valia helped us with this. The owners of the villa are on the same plot in another house, which is a positive. We had total privacy and even if he needed to do maintenance he would knock. All in all, a fantastic 2-week holiday, a big thanks to George and his wife and the HomeAway team (valia). Thanks Dave M.

Great villa in a peaceful location with a fantastic view!
We we're a party of 10 consisting of 6 adults and 4 children - The villa was spacious with a unique layout - The outside area was great, very pretty with a good sized pool and a fantastic view of the coastline - We found a couple of good Taverna's within a short walk in the evening and a good bakery. Finally, the hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming, thank you George!

Convenient, comfortable and clean.
Our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids, 8&10) loved our time in Sfakaki. The house and garden were beautiful, as well as centrally located for many excursions. George was attentive, kind and generous - greeting us with juice and delicious homemade spinach pie. I highly recommend!!

Beautiful, relaxing hideaway.
We were two young families travelling together (three children under 5) so wanted someone that we could enjoy and relax in and not have to move or travel much unless we wanted to - this Villa gave us exactly this. With the beautiful gardens, comfortable interior, pool and football pitch - it was a struggle to drag ourselves away. We visited in early May - the weather was wonderful for us so we made full use of the exterior facilities - the boys playing in the gardens and pools - with the adults enjoying the beautiful outsider dining area/BBQ of an evening. Clean and comfortable beds- with two doubles, which was perfect for two families travelling together. The owners were hugely helpful - giving us a lift to/from the supermarket - ordering us take out for our first night of arrival. The area was very quiet and the nearest beach not that beautiful - but as we were so happy with the gorgeous accommodation we didn't mind. Plus it was an easy bus journey to Neighbouring beaches and Rethymnon - which we took advantage of. The only negative for young children is that the pool doesn't really have a shallow end - however there are a few steps going into the water that our children enjoyed playing on and with armbands/vest etc they were fine - but they had less freedom than if they had a shallow end to splash around in - but it didn't hinder their enjoyment. Found the wonderful, friendly Thalassi Taverna close by - right on the beach with beautiful sunset views and a play area for the children - owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating - would urge you to visit. Overall I would highly recommend this villa for a chilled, relaxing break. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!

Perfect!
The whole journey from booking to arrival was smooth and well mangaged....thank you Valia. We were a group of five friends who were welcomed by our wonderful hosts, Eleni and Giorgios with both lovely food and drink. The villa was wonderful and had everything you would need for your stay and having the owners next door meant they would be hand if we needed anything, we didn't. When you enter you could not help, but be drawn to the outside. The view was spectacular. The pool, which seemed quite new was lovely. Whilst on holiday we would normally go out in the evening, but the patio area at night , when the lights in the both the pool and garden came on gave us the best place to sit and share some wine. We had one day of rain which was when we made use of the lovely spacious upstairs lounge, again with stunning views, Netflix and chill. On this day Giorgios knocked and asked if we needed to be taken anywhere, as we didn't have a car. He really went above and beyond what was expected. Overall we all had a lovely time. The beach and amenities are all in walking distance, a bit of a hill back, but we like to walk whilst away. Thank you again .
