We had a wonderful time taking in the tranquil view from the room of the low lands and water. The neighborhood was clean and will kept and off the beaten path. The location was perfectly central to Savannah and Beaufort. The two separated bedrooms with full baths attached works wonderful for our stay. We will be back to this gem!

We enjoyed our visit to Broadview. Wonderful porch with a swing to enjoy the amazing ever changing views. We found the cottage clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The location is perfect for day trips to several of the low country towns and beaches. We hope we can return again. April is a great host

Broadview was exactly what we needed after Hurricane Helene. It is such a sweet place outfitted with everything you need and more. The healing relaxing space was perfect for us to recalibrate together after the disaster. Thank you April and Jody for having a place for us. We will be back.

Broadview is such an appropriate name for the cottage. Such amazing views of the marsh and Broad River. It always feels so comfortable and welcoming. After staying as many times as possible since 2016, it truly is our home away from home. Relaxing, peaceful and beautiful are just a few words to describe this awesome place. April and Jody are always available for questions or a quick chat. Just a wonderful place!

Every detail about our stay was wonderful. We stayed for the entire month of June as our home was undergoing renovations. This sweet cottage was a great home away from home. It was cozy and comfortable.The views were stunning. The neighborhood of Palm Key was quiet and tranquil which was exactly what we wanted. We brought our dog and were so impressed by how dog friendly this cottage was. April and Jody, the property owners were so wonderful to work with and we are so grateful they shared their home with us.

Cozy, comfy and charming. Beautiful views of the marsh, changing with the tides. Nice community of cottages in a rural setting. Convenient to Beaufort, Port Royal, St. Helena Island, Parris Island, Bluffton, Hilton Head, Savannah and Edisto Island. Beautifully stocked kitchen with everything we needed and more! Wonderful host!

This place was honestly one of my favorite places I have stayed at on vacation. The morning sunrises over the marsh are so beautiful! The place was very clean and felt like home. My sweet Stitch (French bulldog) loved it as well. I would highly recommend it to families and especially those needing handicap access. My mom was able to get around great while we were here! There are no steps to the front entrance of the house and a handicap accessible shower.

Very clean and organized. Beautiful views right outside the floor length windows where we could catch the sunrise as well as the moon over the marsh!! All the essentials and more, even a toy basket where my dog got to pick one out for herself! Very easy to find pots and pans and they even have handmade pottery dishes. Beautifully decorated, not overdone but just right. I hope we can come again. PS. We found the town of Ridgeland very warm and friendly.

Well maintained property right on the marsh. Was nice to get away for the weekend. You're about 30 mins to the downtown areas of Beaufort or Bluffton so you're close but also far enough away that you don't have the crowds. We had a lot of fun fishing the neighborhood pond.

This was the perfect rental for us! We loved the split floor plan with bedrooms on opposite sides of the cottage as it afforded plenty of privacy for the three of us. We spent most mornings out on the porch with our coffee, enjoying the calls of the birds and even spotted a Bald Eagle flying over the marsh! The cottage was comfortable and cooking meals was easy in the efficient kitchen. Internet speed was great and having a smart tv for the few days we were inside was welcomed. We enjoyed walking in the quiet neighborhood with our dog and found the neighbors quite friendly. Communication with April was always easy and prompt. Simply put, we couldn’t have asked for a better host or cottage. We highly recommend this cottage and we will be back!

We really enjoyed our day here. The home was cozy and clean. Our dogs loved it and they even had a little toy for them to bring home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy a pot of coffee or cook a meal. The back porch was amazing. We were able to take in all the sound, smells, and amazing view is the marsh. It’s really something to take in. Sunrise and sunset can be seen from the entire back of the home and they are beautiful. We didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful view of the marsh along the Broad River. Well situated for day trips to Hilton Head, Beaufort and Savannah. One of the most well appointed rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Had everything one might need for cooking or entertainment. Laundry was a big plus. If I had one thing that could have been improved, it would be the beds. Super firm. A mattress pad would be a great addition. But certainly not a deal breaker. We hope to go back soon!

As others have said, this cottage is well designed for a pleasant stay. The furnishings are comfortable, and the hosts have provided many signs and writings to help you decide easily what you would like to do and where to do it. I especially enjoyed just sitting on the porch and watching and listening to the birds and wildlife that live in and around the marsh. It is a very peaceful location.

We had a wonderful weekend stay, we were in town for a weekend wedding and wanted to have a place to relax other than being in the hotel. Our place was just like being at home, they welcome your pet and everything we need was available. I would recommend this as a place to rest and relax if you are ever in the area. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

Broadview a wonderful and relaxing stay! We spent the week of Thanksgiving at the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the marshland, birds and water view from the back deck each morning! Great place to walk with our dogs and an ideal location to see the many interesting sights in the area. The neighborhood was very quiet and the cottage was LOVELY! We hope to return!

Very nice property, tastefully decorated throughout with soft tranquil colors, flowers and birds! Very dog friendly! Our 2 loved sitting on the gated porch outback overlooking the marshes while I relaxed on the swing! April graciously provides a basket with new toys for the pups to remember the vacation by, my greedy English Bulldog found it before we knew it existed! She claimed a toy right away! As it was just my husband and I, we really didn't cook and we only used 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. However, the house certainly can take a family. Plenty of towels and kitchen needs. Another review mentioned the beds, sure, they're firm, but we buy our own mattresses to our liking, this is no different than a hotel, etc. We had no issue sleeping for the week we were there and didn't let it spoil our vacation. April also gave us recommendations for shopping, eating and sightseeing! Some were casual messages back and forth. That indicated to me if you experienced an issue, she would get back to you timely. Knowles Island Plantation formally known as Broadview. It was Broadview Cottage when we had stayed at the beginning of October. The house was decent. Nothing fancy, which didnt bother us. Were pretty simple as well. The beds were probably the worst beds i have ever slept on. Felt like concrete and could feel every spring. So never got a good nights rest. The dish washer leaks all over the floor. In the description of the home it was labeled as "out in the low country." Which it was, but it didnt mention the fact that youre in a neighborhood with neighbors very close to you. Alot of the scenery pics in the listing werent even of around the house. There is NO TRASH SERVICE at the house. So we had to drive 15 mins away from the house to get rid of our trash! that was not told to us either. Who wants to do that while youre on vacation???? There was some fishing poles there, she had mentioned in an email that somebody had left them and wasnt sure of the shape of them, but we could use them. We brought our own fishing poles, 6 of them. After we had checked out, April tried charging us for the poles because one was broke. We NEVER used hers. She also tried charging us for trash. In the exiting letter it said to leave leftover trash in the kitchen and they would dispose of it. We left 2 bags and a couple of boxes. She lied about how we left the house and also lied to get more money from us. The stay was ok, we left a day early because i couldnt take sleeping on that bed one more night. April was very helpful in the beginning, but has definitely changed my mind about her intentions after lying about several things about us. Makes me wonder if she has done this to other people. Wouldnt recommend to any family with kids or if your looking to be out in the low country with no one around.
