Charming beach bungalow fit for family vacation
Charming and kid-friendly just like all the reviews raved, and it still exceeded our expectations. Quiet beach location for water activities and bike rides. True surprise was the quality of the beds and showers like a nice hotel. Great for a relaxing vacation with my kids ages baby to teenager.

Wonderful Stay While In town For a Wedding
My family and I had a great stay here while in town form cousin's wedding nearby. The house is very well set up and Ariana was always responsive and extremely accommodating. You can tell that this home is loved very much, as it is cozy and inviting, and has everything you need for your stay. The beach is lovely and the view is spectacular--we had some great sunrises and sunsets during our stay. Some of our extended family actually rented a house just a couple of doors down from Ariana's home, which was a lovely coincidence, and made the whole stay that much more enjoyable. We were able to as pop back and forth between each other's rentals and all enjoy the beach together. Many thanks for hosting us, Ariana, and we hope to be able to come back!

Lovely, updated, and comfortable.
While the house is well-equipped for families looking for beach time fun, I was in search of solitude and wind down time, which I found in meditative sound of the surf. Great communication with Ariana. Smooth check in and check out. Pictures do not do the house or views justice. I will certainly be back.

Exciting View, Perfectly Located
Gorgeous ocean views from every key area of the house and master bedroom. Numerous farm stands are just a few miles away (you could walk to one of the largest if you're feeling energetic). In our too-short week we enjoyed beautiful sunny days, walking on the beach and some exciting stormy afternoons, watching the waves crash against the rocks. The house is very well-stocked for those who want cook in and enjoy as much of the wonderful view and house as possible.

Peaceful Beach and Farm Country
We loved our stay at the Sandbox! The spectacular view and sound of the water made for a truly peaceful week. Amazing produce and wine are readily available from the beautiful farms and vineyards that surround the house. Mid-July yet the beach felt very private. The house is rustic, beachy and casual, with a nice big table for family meals and long deck for lounging. Owners were very responsive when a small issue arose. Comfortable beds; plenty of towels; well-equipped kitchen.

Perfect!!
The Sandbox is a perfect beach house with stunning views! We traveled with a 2y/o and 5 month old and the house was great for the both of them. The location is perfect as there are so many fun things to do and places to eat. We went to the Strawberry festival, 2 farms, indoor play place (on the rainy day), outlets, and loved hanging down at the beach at the house. Highly recommend for families!!

Sunsets!
My husband and I had a wonderful week here in mid-May, from the moment of arriving and seeing the beautiful view through the windows! The location can't be beaten and photos don't really do it justice. The house is comfortable and well equipped, the beach is lovely, the neighborhood is friendly, and the sunsets and sunrises spectacular. There are plenty of the North Fork's great restaurants, wineries and farmsteads nearby, although we found it hard to tear ourselves away from the beach. We were sad to leave and will definitely return.

Enjoyed the house (that has good comfortable vibes) with it’s lovely views of the sound for a get together with friends. We were looking for a place to relax and unwind which Ariana’s house provided in full!

Amazing time despite stormy weather!
We had a wonderful time at the Sandbox! Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate beyond our first night and half of the next day but we caught and amazing sunset—I’m a photographer and sunsets are sort of my thing—one of the best I’ve seen. Great walks on the beach, comfy beds and a house that has everything you need. Hosts were super responsive when we encountered some issues with a stormy sound and beach furniture washing away. Highly recommend!

Spectacular beach house
My family had a wonderful stay. There was 5 adults and a two year old. We had plenty of space and the house was wonderful for making me feel safe with my toddler running around. You can not beat the view and beach access. Ariana was wonderful and easy to communicate with. As we sat on the deck on our last night their, my family all agreed, we can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing experience
We loved our stay at the Sandbox. It was a very special time for our family. The house is beautiful, right on the beach (sunrises and sunsets from the deck are spectacular) and fully baby proofed... the owners were also very helpful and friendly. What a nice escape during this pandemic!

Gorgeous view!
We were looking to get away from the city and this house was perfect. I can’t say enough about the view. Beautiful sunrise, bright sunlight all day, amazing sunsets. The house is equipped with everything you need. It’s not fancy and that added to its charm. We felt comfortable even during two snowstorms - the Kahn’s left two space heaters to make sure we were warm during an especially cold week. We hope to visit again soon.

Fantastic Friendsgiving 40th Birthday Weekend
A group of 5 friends, one toddler and 2 small dogs spent a long weekend at the house both for Thanksgiving and a 40th birthday celebration. The house had everything we needed for cozy nights staying in and cooking and also lots of space to lounge, drink wine and play board games. We loved sitting on the deck and walking on the beach in the mornings and despite Covid, were able to take a couple day trips to go wine tasting and antiquing. The location was perfect. Before we even left, we were planning for a time when we can come back and hope to make this a tradition.

Waterfront, wineries and the sound of the sound
My husband and I wanted to escape the city for a few days especially during covid. This charming house is right on the water on a private road. The view from the main room of the house is water and waves and the sound of Long Island sound is calming and wonderful for destressing. The house and kitchen had all the amenities. The owner was easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Our Stay at the Sandbox
We really enjoyed our off-season stay. We worked and the kids went on line to school and we absolutely loved looking at the Long Island Sound everyday. The weather was amazing and the sunsets spectacular. The house was perfect for our family of 4 and even the dogs were happy!

Magical spot
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The beautiful unobstructed view is enchanting, the location has easy access to great walks, great local produce, seafood and wine and the house itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful place to relax
This was our second time staying here. The location is dreamy. House is fully equipped and more than comfortable for a family getaway. We spent lots of hours walking on the beach, hanging out on the deck and enjoying the views and sunsets.

My family from all over the US (Texas, California Virginia) truly enjoyed the house and views of the Sandbox! Only three of us used it as a home base for a Calverton funeral in February and it was perfect! The large dining table and open living room space allowed us all to share many past stories with laughs and tears! The family truly enjoyed the “wall of windows” view and walking on the beach which was so perfect for our psyche. I was a little worried about the weather when booking but Arianna was perfect in answering all my questions and the week turned out even better than what I had planned for ! Everyone said that they never knew Long Island was so beautiful with open space and are now interested in coming back because of this house! I look forward to staying at The Sandbox again to truly enjoy all that the North Fork offers. A hui hou ( ‘til we meet again)!!!!
