"I stayed Friday to Monday (3 nights) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house is clean and tidy, everything is easy to find and it's well-equipped. It's literally a stone's throw from the beach. There are modern conveniences and contemporary decor but house still has it's 1920's character, right down to a claw-foot bath and the loo positioned in the washhouse near the back door. "An awesome wee hideaway in a well apointed 1bdrm cottage - we had everything we needed for a couple of nights R&R - awesome set up with our 2 manimals - fully fenced and secure - great walks all around and the locals were amazingly friendly and the whole place had a warm village feel to it. "Our decision to get away to Hawera was made late, but we booked and were confirmed in just minutes. I thought the House seemed a very good deal on paper, but upon arrival it just got even better. Christina and Kelly were very welcoming and friendly, they showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. "Perfect, private and very comfortable accommodation for a five night holiday for hubby and I from Wellington. Great location to base ourselves to visit New Plymouth city and other local areas. Loved the daily ocean view and got to see the magnificent mountain view at the start and end of our stay (weather permitting). "We really enjoyed our stay and loved the setting of the property. It was very quiet and lovely view sitting relaxing on the deck. The children loved collecting fresh eggs and feeding the chickens. The house had everything we needed and felt like we were very rural but yet less than 10mins to the supermarket and a quick trip into town. The only downside for us was not getting on with Lucy the cat! Thanks for having us 😀"

"Immmaculate, modern farm stay but oh so cozy and warm!! So tastefully decorated and with a really thoughtful host. We travelled from afar and arrived late in the evening. She had turned the lights and heat pump on. Beautiful place for a small family- we were two female adults and 2 under 13 children. Loved every minute of our stay. "
