Fabulous Experience
This property is perfectly set between West Bay and West End. The hosts are incredible and the house is spacious for 6 adults with all you could ask for on the beach. We will be back!!!

Great House!
Lazy A is a great house! Very comfortable with amazing decks to gather as a family. The communication from both Sarah and Mary was great. It’s walkable to West Bay but a water taxi to West End is needed if you have kids or older adults in your family. Rigo the taxi and tour host is also fantastic!

Wonderful stay
We had a fantastic week. Sarah was very responsive to all our questions and set-up transportation from the airport (including a stop at the supermarket). Mary was wonderful at check in and helped arrange water taxis with Big John and on island activities. The water taxi is convenient with Big John. He took us for a half-day snorkeling which was great. We did the dolphin encounter and drop sea fishing. Easy walk to West Bay and restoring the way. It’s a great, quiet and safe location.

Beautiful—no need to look further
This is a beautiful beachfront home with excellent hosts, a gardener who brings you fruit if you ask, and snorkeling in your front yard. All amenities that you would need, with great design and ability to grill on a screened in porch. We were glad we chose to NOT rent a car given available water and land taxis and ‘interesting’ Roatan driving rules/limited signage. If you want a more secluded place without the crowds/touristy feel of west bay, this could be exactly what you’re looking for. Easy water taxi to west end where we enjoyed many inexpensive local restaurants. Consider going to Sandy Buns early in your trip to buy a loaf of homemade bread for your stay, and cinnamon buns for the next morning. Tijuana Tacos=awesome. Local tours, Clearwater adventures, tons of stuff to do. Enjoy!!

Hidden Gem!
Not only is Roatan the best kept secret, this house was amazing! This was our second year in a row to come to the island and stay in the Orchid neighborhood. The house sits right on the beach and the views were breathtaking at dawn and sunset! The house was clean and the beds were comfy. Kitchen has all of the tools you need. Walking distance to several restaurants or a quick water taxi to West Bay and West End. ClearWater Diving was a couple doors down on the beach. We love diving with them. Their guide-to-diver ratios are so small that it is practically a private dive. Sarah and Mary were responsive to anything we needed and will set up airport transportation stress-free. Ask Sarah for Dixie's number. She is a private (and affordable) chef that will come cook island cuisine at the house. Her food was amazing and we have used her twice now. Her key lime pie is a MUST! Tip her good :) We are already planning our next visit to the Lazy-A Beach house!! Thanks Sarah!!

Hard to beat!
Well, with so many high ratings already, it’s hard to top some of the other reviews about this property. We enjoyed every moment of our trip and this property didn’t disappoint. We are avid snorkelers. We’ve been to most of the Caribbean islands focused on some of the best snorkeling sites we could find. Roatan was one of our last remaining stops that we had high expectations for the water experience. During our stay, we enjoyed the snorkeling directly out from the house, we also took advantage of being next door to Clearwater Diving, and did several tag-alongs and excursions. The coral was in fantastic shape and we had some amazing adventures. Don’t miss out on the night snorkels, the bioluminescence was wild! We also had the opportunity to meet Sarah and it was a pleasure. She was very helpful and accommodating (as well as Mary the house manager!). They hooked us up with Big John for our taxi rides, and we even spent a day with him and his boys on an excursion. He is the best! The house is all you’d hope for. It was comfortable, relaxing and perfectly located. No need to continue to search, if it’s available, book it! You won’t be disappointed and the views are amazing. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. Be sure to book Dixie for a homemade meal at the house. We asked for Baleadas (not on her normal menu) and they were great, only regret was we didn’t have her cook her other dishes while we were there (gives us another reason to go back!)

Amazing place. Sarah, Mary and Dixie (Friend and Chef) were outstanding. We have never been treated so well by a host group ever. The place had everything we would have wanted. Diving with Clearwater was exceptional. Again best service ever. Can't wait to go back!!

Amazing vacation spot
This property is in the perfect location on the island and we enjoyed our stay immensely. A walk down the beach allows for 3 or 4 different places to eat and water taxis are readily available to take you to West End and West Bay. The people of Roatan are friendly and the fun is endless. We all felt safe and highly recommended visiting this beautiful island, especially staying at Lazy A Beach House!

Amazing!
The house was very accommodating for all 8 of us! We had everything we needed. It was the perfect location for our first visit to Roatan. Sarah was extremely helpful in getting us transportation to and from the airport and filling us in on places to visit. She hooked us up with Big John the water taxi driver and we were set for everyplace we wanted to go! Mary, her property manager helped us find Rosa to cook for us in the house so we had a delicious local meal. We had a terrific time. we hope to be back.

We had an amazing time great location Mary Rigo Big John Carter Nash all phenomenal the Boat Bar, Rags at Clearwater Divers. Mero Nicole, Ed and sweet Izzy we hope you had the best 3rd birthday!! A LAZY VACATION
The property was as described in the listing. Perfect setting for our family of six. Three couples. Plenty of activities, able to walk to West End (although a bit rocky and our feet got wet) and West Bay. Five minute walk to the scuba Centre, Clearwater. So many great restaurants and snorkel settings. Loved our stay!

Fabulous trip
Two families each with teen boys and one 20y.o. Everyone’s first time in Roatan. The house was clean, well appointed and well situated almost half way between West Bay and West End. Mary, the property manager, was a pleasure to deal with and loaded us up with tons of information about the area, locals to use for the water taxi, etc. She also put us in contact with one of our favorite things from the week: Dixie, a wonderful local woman who we hired twice during the week to come to the house and cook dinner. We all immensely enjoyed our time with Dixie and her food was divine! While only novice divers (we did two dives this week: SPECTACULAR!), we are all practiced and well seasoned snorkelers. We have snorkeled in Aruba, the Bahamas, USVI, Cancun and Grand Cayman and we all agreed the snorkeling on the Roatan reef was without question the best we’ve ever done. It was simply perfect. Fantastic water clarity, hundreds of species, never ending reef formations and super calm waters. There is some fun little snorkeling right off the dock at the house and in truth spent a fair bit of our “down” days doing just that. But West End Wall was a walk/water taxi ride away and was phenomenal, and then we hired Big John, for a nominal fee, to take us out in his water taxi m to do a couple of drift snorkels along the reef wall….equally phenomenal. We are all excited to return some day, hopefully soon!

Great Location!
We stayed here with 3 kids and 3 adults and was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The location is great; easily accessible between West Bay and West End. The Boat Bar is fabulous and just next door, and for those who love to dive - Clearwater Adventures is a quick walk down the beach and was fantastic. Property Manager Mary was very responsive and addressed any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

The Perfect Getaway
Our family loved this property for so many reasons. First, the hosts, Sarah and Mary were great to work with, often providing help and recommendations well in advance. Second, the location is ideal - nestled between West Bay and West End it is a quiet and wonderful beach which you can snorkel from directly. Third, the house is well-equipped, spacious and comfortable and we very much appreciated the pool. It really was the perfect getaway for our family of 5.

Perfect Launch Pad for Adventure, Food, Incredible Scenery and Relaxation
Mary thank you so much for allowing us to stay at the Lazy A beach house and for all of the advice that you gave my family and my friends. The Lazy A served as the centerpiece for the best vacation that we have experienced, and we have gone to some pretty amazing places. Denesse and all of the dive masters at Clearwater Adventures were the crown jewels of our time in Roatan. We spent five of our eight days in Roatan with Clearwater. Every family that goes to Roatan should experience the Clearwater Cultural Tour. We did it on the first full day that we there, and it established the perfect framework for the rest of the vacation. Denesse motivated us to get involved with the Crawfish Rock Village elementary school, I am currently in the process to see if we can get the school set with a basic internet capability and Chromebook/computers conduct distributed education. Some technicians and I might be renting the Lazy A in the near future in order to set all of that up. Dixie's food was excellent, and we loved talking with her, watching her cook and getting to know her nephew/son. He is a remarkable young man. Rigo squared us away om transportation to and from the airport, as well as nature parks, Coxen Hole key points and local food joints. We loved Big John's Water Taxi service. Mary was fabulous, and ensured we had everything that we needed. You have a very special place. We will back to the Lazy A soon. We already miss those glorious sunsets.

Beautiful Views
My family of 4 and our friends (family of 3) traveled to Roatan for vacation recently. We completely loved this home and it’s location. The views were amazing on every level and there just wasn’t a bad spot to relax and enjoy the ocean. We did snorkeling right off the shore and saw many beautiful fish, including a seahorse! Red Macaws flew over us each afternoon. We could walk a short distance to grab a bite to eat or take a water taxi to West Bay or West End. The only issue we had was the sharing of the pool with the guests of the apartment. This wasn’t included in the listing and we were caught off guard by this and the pool isn’t large so our party of 7 didn’t leave room for sharing of that space. I asked upon arrival about that because the guest was actually in the pool when we arrived. We were assured it wouldn’t be an issue but it became an issue. Once I reached out to the owner it was resolved and we didn’t have any further issues. I would recommend coming and staying at Lazy A anytime and the owner was super great at communicating and was helpful on every level. Ms. Mary helped us in every way, as well. This was a great home and location couldn’t be better.
