"Overall the stay was very pleasant however, much to our surprise when we returned the first evening, we found my grandson’s clothes he had left on the floor covered with large ants. There was no food in the room to draw the ants and we wondered how they had invaded his room, which was where the bunkers were situated. We did enjoy the amenities of using the well stocked kitchen and use of the laundry room. "

"Beautiful property and amazing people. They were super nice and helpful. We rented the side by side and they provided us with feed to use out on the property. We got to see a bunch of really cool animals and had a ton of fun fishing too. We will definitely be going back! "

"Cabin was very clean, the view was phenomenal and it was nice feeling off the grid. We fished a ton every day with lots of luck. Wide variety of exotic animals to watch throughout the property. Would be very fun to visit during summer to take advantage of the pool. The listing on VRBO can be slightly confusing. There is a room that list two queen beds which only has one and upstairs living room that lists king is an air mattress. These beds we were using for kids, so we were able to make it...

"My husband and I and another couple stayed for a weekend. Newly remodeled 3/2 house less than a mile from downtown Bastrop. All the amenities of a 4 star hotel room (minus the pool). Hosts were very responsive when we had a small issue with internet connectivity. The backyard is well thought out and included a stone fire pit with seating. Hosts provided everything we needed for the fire. We really enjoyed our stay and exploring downtown Bastrop. We definitely recommend this location!"

"Seriously ...YOU'LL NEVER FIND ONE THAT IS MORE FUN! Three generations of a family finding so many games to enjoy at the same time has got to be a rare experience. Indoor games. Outdoor games. Games the old-timers remembered from when they were kids. Games the old-timers learned how to play. Games the 20-somethings could play with their parents and grandparents and have a great time. We were there when it wasn't warm enough to enjoy the sauna or tank pool, so we'll have to go back next...

"My family and I stayed here and it was wonderful. The pictures are accurate and I encourage anyone who is looking for a restful place to stay away from the city, to consider this place. Fishing was fun in the tank (perch and catfish) watching movies on the big screen by the pool was fantastic, and the use of the golf cart was a bonus. The hosts are nice and easy to deal with. Beds were super comfortable too. Plenty of space to relax and hang out. "

"This was the perfect place for our getaway. The property was fantastic. The cabin was wonderful full of interesting history about the Chicken Ranch and everything we needed to cook and relax.
