the rear room was fine, but
the window was single-glazed with '60s louuvre ventilation which let in all the noise - traffic from warwick street and hilmorton road, and loud bottle and rubbish collection at 4am.
there was no advertised times for breakfast.
their website says their rooms have "Flat screen, digital TV with over 100 channels plus you can cast from any device", but for the life of me i could not cast from my phone and there were no instructions on how to.
also, the tv guide function was a couple of hours ahead, i.e. at midnight it seemed to think it was 2.30am. scrolling through the guide was pitiful. in the end i had to be content without the tv altogether.
i asked to see the ballroom, which the duty manager was pleased to show me. it stank of air-freshener which to my mind was to mask a worse smell of mustiness.
the bed and linens were really comfoetable, and the en-suite was excellent.
but you gotta do something about those wndows. i just don't buy that yiu can't do anything about it just because it's a listed building.
