"A comfortable and enjoyable stay. Room was clean comfortably and so cosy! We were made to feel so welcomed and they kindly accommodated a veggie breakfast for us. The breakfast was lovely with fresh foods and lots of local produce to choose from. We even got a tour of the place! Would highly recommend a stay here. "
"We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. "
"We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous."
"We were delighted by the old-fashioned charm of this hotel, which has surely survived despite all the odds in the current financial climate. We booked a 'superior' double room which turned out to be enormous, the only setback being that it was up 2 flights of stairs and the second of these had very narrow steps. However the room was lovely and so was the bathroom (which had a jacuzzi!) All was nice and clean.

"This is a hotel with traditional style and modern comfort. We had a week's holiday here participating in the Three Choirs Festival. The hotel made us very welcome even to the extend of presenting us with a welcome gift. It all added to a most enjoyable break with good food and drink, good company and excellent entertainment. "We had a great stay here for a few nights with the family over Easter. The barn is lovely and well equipped, the kitchen had everything we needed including a big multi-oven cooker which made cooking for 6 people with varied dietary requirements very straightforward. The garden is lovely and we were lucky enough to catch some of the trees in full blossom.
We enjoyed some superb walking and there was plenty of information provided to help us find paths that didn’t show up on my internet...
"Really lovey place to stay if you just want peace and quiet, very basic and very romantic and secluded.
Just hear in mind your only cooking appliances are a cooking hob. So any meals you plan on cooking must be cookable in a saucepan or frying pan.
That being said the rose and crown in Michaelchurch."
