Yearly Beach Vacation
We had a lovely stay at the Yellow House. The property is clean, comfortable and cozy with a well stocked kitchen. Communication with our host Melissa, was prompt and courteous. The location is perfect for a multigenerational family~a perfect mix of quiet beach days and evenings, relaxing times at the house and excursions into Beaufort!

Perfect getaway!
This was such a relaxing and much needed break for my family and I. The home was clean, comfortable and fully stocked. The host, Melissa was incredible! The internet was out from a storm and she was in constant communication to get it back on for us. There were plenty of books, games and puzzles to keep us occupied until they were able to restore it. The golf carts were great for a stroll to the private beach and we enjoyed every moment of our vacation! We will definitly come here again! The view of the sunset and wild life from the wrap around porch was breath taking! Thank you again, Melissa, for everything! coagain!!minute of our stay!

Needs a little love
The home is in great need of TLC. The outside could use a major cleaning. The inside could also use a deep cleaning. When walking with no shoes on our feet would be black from the floor. The outside needs pressure washing, especially the steps, balcony and concrete. Weeds were overgrown and bushes hung over the driveway.The concrete and steps have been neglected for sometime. One could tell the cleaning service does the bare minimum. The mattresses also need to be replaced. It would also help if the correct size sheets were used. Every night the sheets rolled off bc full size sheets were used on queen beds. I suggest replacing the linens as well. They are faded, some ripped and have an odd mildew smell when they get wet. These are just things to know if you consider booking. I will have to say the owner was very responsive at all times. The check-in and out process was seamless. The pass to the state park was a plus. When owners don’t live near the property, I feel sometimes they don’t realize the disarray of the property. It’s the visitors’ responsibility to let them know. Overall, we enjoyed the week and the house met our needs.

Mother’s Day Getaway!
We stayed here last year and had a great time, so we decided to give it a try again. Just a good as we remembered. The house is warm and inviting and has a relaxing beach feel. Having two golf cars makes it easy for everyone to be able to ride around the island and access the beach without any problems. The location of the house is easy to get to. Also, Harbor Island is close enough to Beaufort for shopping or dining and close enough to Hunting Island State Park for an additional beach adventure.

Wonderful Stay!
We booked a stay here for a yearly family girls trip and absolutely loved our time! The home was exactly as pictured/described, incredibly clean, convenient to surrounding areas and communication was superb! I highly recommend booking if this home if you are looking in this area.

Lots of wildlife and close proximity to both Beaufort and Hunting Island Staye Park
Nice little older home on the marsh for nature lovers. We loved driving by the lagoon with all the birds and checking out the turtles and alligators along the nature trail inside the neighborhood! We were able to visit Hunting Island State Park, Beaufort, Phillips Island, and took a charter over to Morgan (aka Monkey) Island. Some cute places to eat nearby and the pool was awesome. Fitness center was just OK (could use some updating and a bit more space) but we used it. The beach was very nice - very wide and uncrowded. We joined the turtle group one morning and loved walking out on the sandbar at low tide. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels were available, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, dish towels, plates, etc. Two golf carts were available but really only one we felt comfortable enough to drive, which was fine. House is older but in relatively good shape. All in all, a great spot to explore St. Helena and the surrounding area. Four active retired adults, October 2023

Wedding Trip
This was our first experience with VRBO and it was awesome. The property was beautiful and in a great location. The owners were fantastic to work with. Would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it to friends and family.

Very quiet neighborhood. House needs a little TLC!
Mildewed exterior wood, furniture needs to be cleaned, floors under furniture/beds needs to be cleaned (dirty sock was left from previous guest), leaky ceiling (owner tried to stop leak but was not successful…had to keep pot in the doorway of master bedroom from Wednesday-Saturday do to the leak), mildew in washing machine.

Enjoyed our stay
Home could use a lot of updates, but was clean. The only issues we had, which I failed to report, was with the hall bathtub and a few other things . Tub did not drain well, so we had to use the small shower in the master. We never found the correct remote for the tv in one of the bedrooms. There was one in there, but it didn’t work. A storm rolled through and the internet went out two nights before we left- it was never restored before we left. The smart tv’s wouldn’t work without the wifi, so that was kind of a bummer. The cable may have not worked anyway due to the storm. The washer was extremely loud and annoying. Loved being so close to Hunting Island and the park pass was an amazing perk- we visited everyday! Found lots of shark teeth, so fun! Cypress Wetlands was cool! Golf carts were fun and enjoyed all the beauty of Harbor Island. A lot of the restaurants were closed Monday-Wednesday or only open until 3:00pm, so that was kind of weird. Would stay again even with the minor issues!

We loved using the golf carts for easy access to the pool, bird watching, and viewing the beautiful sunsets on the sound. We also enjoyed the free pass to Hunting Island and went there several times during the week. The scenery on the drive down to the beach was beautiful. The deck off the living room provides you with a variety of wildlife to view. The only thing we disliked was the mosquitoes Lol. So bring your citronella candles!

Roomy enough
The road this is on is very quiet and makes it a peaceful neighborhood. The deck and the patio was very nice, it was sturdy, and had good views. Everything that they promised in the listing was there, however some of it was in ill repair. The house would have been much more comfortable if the owners would have used better furnishings - the golf carts were in very ill-repair, the shelf in the fridge was barely hanging on on one side, the bedside table in the bedroom was so wobbly i was scared to use it. Also, when we got there, there was barely any toilet paper and only about a teaspoon of dish washing detergent and no dish clothes to use. I had to go buy those too. It would be nice if there were enough to get you by until you could get to the store. It was little things like that could have made a big difference and a better stay. But i will say the house was roomy and laid out good. And the owners answered any questions we had very quickly.

We had a wonderful time here. The house is perfect, beds are comfortable, the wrap around porch with morning coffee is so relaxing!! The house is truly so comfortable and plenty of great space, it is awesome! Nice having the golf cart to take up to the beach area. Just wonderful! We will be back for sure! Perfect spring break
We had a wonderful time on Harbor Island. The house was perfect for my husband and I and 4 kids. The little kids loved the upstairs bedroom. The wrap around closed in deck was perfect for our 20 month old. He was safe and could run around on the deck. The pools were nice, especially enjoyed baby pool and the play set right next to it. Golf carts made getting around easy. It’s perfect location for great views. W enjoyed being out of town, yet having three great places to eat right next door and an ice cream shop, as well as the mainline market that has everything you can imagine you may need and also offers free delivery. We would for sure stay here again.

Central Location
Fabulous location for day trips to Savannah, Charleston, and Hilton Head. Home was accurately described. Everything you could possibly need was there. Picked up an online order at WalMart before we got on the island. We cooked one meal a day at the house. It was nice to have a slow cooker on hand allowing lunch/dinner to cook while we were on the beach. Host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We booked a kayak trip with Beaufort Landis End Paddling. Mike was a great guide. He even brought fresh cut fruit for us to eat once we got to our destination. Highly recommend a kayak trip. Be sure to check out the Cypress Wetlands downtown Port Royal. Hard to believe there is a rockery in the middle of town. Easy access boardwalk. There’s a great coffee shop called Lowcountry Cider and Superior Coffee Shop that offers lots of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, pastries, baked goodies, and breakfast sandwiches. close to the island. We frequented it often. A’s recommended, Dockside and Fishcamp on 11th did not disappoint. Also Beedos for burgers was a hit.

Quiet and Private!
We had a great time! It’s nestled on a small private island that is quiet! You really feel like you are getting away. The 2 golf carts were a life saver getting everything to the very short ride to the beach! The house is exactly as described and had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. We will be renting again! :)
