Breakwater house on the bay in N.B
This place is amazing with a million dollar view. You have everything you need and Karen the host is excellent. She decorated early so we could have an early Chistmas with my in-laws. From the outdoor hot tub to the indoor soaking tub and fireplace relaxing is easy. You can watch the ships and seals even from the kitchen table. The chefs kitchen is spectacular a true dream. The property is huge and thankfully it is dog friendly. My dog loved it here. There is a view from every room.Check in and out was easy. This is the best place we have ever rented and just outside the city so close to groceries and shopping and other atctivites. Karen has thought of everything and added some extra touches you don't get elsewhere. We didn't want to leave. The pictures on-line are accurate but even better in person.We hope to be back again sometime. Memories made here that we will cherish forever.

Run don't walk to book this gorgeous house!
We stayed here for 8 days with family. I cannot overstate how beautiful this house and location are! The host Karen was a delight, and left no stone unturned. The house has every possible amenity you could want, and the views are incredible. Both sunrise and sunset were spectacular. We spent hours on the private beach just marveling at the colors of the stones and seaglass. It is close to St. John and the uptown area had many unique shops and great restaurants. We also took a day trip to the charming town of St. Andrews, and did nature walks/hikes in New River Beach and the Irving Nature Preserve. We can't stop looking at our photos and are already planning when to return to this truly magical home.

Great family trip
This place was fantastic ! If I could award 6 stars, I would do so. Everything about the home was sparkling clean, and the Host had taken care to make us feel comfortable in every way. We had beautiful sunrises and a couple of very fun evenings. Thank you Karen!

Even better than the photos!
I can't say enough about the property or the experience-- both exceeded expectations. The quantity and quality of the amenities were outstanding. Everything you need and all high quality and in perfect working order. The view is incredible and can be seen from almost every window on the main floor. In addition to beautiful sunrises, we saw at least six seals, a bald eagle and either a porpous or dolphin. We used the hot tub almost every night of our stay, and appreciated the plush towels as the evening tees were quite cold. Within an easy drive to Saint John, but very quiet, peaceful and private. Karen is lovely and is very quick to respond to questions. If I could give it ten stars, I would.

Fabulous Experience to Kick Off Retirement
Every aspect of our experience with this property was exceptional. The owners' attention to needs and detailed appointments surpassed any previous vacation rental we've had. The beautiful views of the bay, morning coffee with the seals and sunrise... it was a wonderful way to regenerate and begin this new phase of life.

Perfect Property!
The house is located on the bay at the end of a residential street. Private , but not secluded. The view of the Bay of Fundy is unrivaled and the sunrises are yours to enjoy daily. The yard is lush and expansive ( wonderful for our Doodle)! The house is modern, spotless , and well equipped with everything to make you feel at home. Hurricane Helene almost scuttled our trip but Karen worked with us and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s a wonderful location to explore NB and beyond. I could go on, but suffice to say, this was our top VRBO experience, hands down. You will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous House with view
This house was so beautiful. My husband, two yrs old son and I had a fantastic stay. We watched seals on the rocks out back. All the little touches in the house were truly appreciated appreciated appreciated as well

Saint John and Bay of Fundy Vacation Excursion
The Breakwater is a beautiful property happily situated on the Bay of Fundy. The stay was enjoyable with all the amenities of a luxury hotel in a picturesque and welcoming home. Easy day trip excursions to Fredericton, Fundy National Park, Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park and, of course, Saint John. We took a further yet reasonable drive to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Host was attentive and friendly.

Lives Up to the Photos and More!
This property was absolutely beautiful and the sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking. Our family particularly enjoyed watching the seals in the back which would gather on the smallest outcrop of rock whenever the tide came in. The property has everything a family could need, and the owner was very friendly and prompt. It's also a great location: 20 minutes from Saint Johns, and roughly an hour-ish away from Saint Martins and Saint Andrews (both locations well worth a visit).

Perfection!
If we lived closer to this location, it would be our yearly go-to! Karen is absolutely a jewel to work with. She was communicative, and very helpful with any questions asked. The home itself is immaculate. There was nothing we needed that was not provided. The location is beautiful, basically surrounded by water. We watched the tides ebb and flow everyday. The seagulls were numerous. We did have one sea otter, or harbor seal sunbathing on the huge rocks that would appear when the tide was out. We had a deer in the yard near the water one morning. I love the fogs that appear over the water. The sunsets were amazing. WE watched the boats come and go.We took walks in the neighborhood. The location of the property was great for day trips. We did drive to Prince Edward Island, spent a day there and opted to spend the night on PEI. Nova Scotia is also an easily accessible day trip. We went to Hartland to see the world's longest bridge. If you're only 2 hours away, for our family, it was a must! There are nearby walking trails; we walked the 0.9 mi to Musquash Lighthouse. We enjoyed sitting outside everyday on the decks reading, and taking in the beauty. Restaurants/grocery store/shopping were within 5 miles. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking our few meals in, and I enjoyed cooking because I had the time. Everything was "laid back". Thank you to Karen for being one of the best VRBO hosts we have ever worked with. Don't hesitate to book her beautiful property!

Quiet & secluded location on the Bay of Fundy
Lovely private home on the bay. The host, Karen, has thought of everything to make sure you have a comfortable space. Beautifully decorated. The entire back of the house is windows that ensure an excellent view of the Bay of Fundy! About 20 minutes to Saint John for dinner at Italian by Night. Excellent recommendation from Karen. Host was quick to respond to questions and provided some great recommendations for things to do in the area. The Fundy Trail Parkway is breathtaking! Absolutely recommend Karen’s beautiful home, great experience and great host!

Home away from home
This is the first place I have stayed where everything .. and I mean everything .. was thought of. Condiments for cooking , ketchup etc in fridge, vase for flowers, cord for my flip 5 that I forgot at home… and the most thoughtful host I have ever met. The place was so tastefully decorated I felt pampered just walking in the door It was a remarkable find !

The Perfect Stay!
This gorgeous house served as the perfect location for our girls get away. Everything is done and taken care of to the highest quality and standard. The kitchen- amazing! The master bedroom and bathroom- just wow! The view- breathtaking! Very clean and nothing was lacking…they even had beach blankets that we used to sit on the beach for a snack after our hike at New River Beach. Karen was easy to communicate with, check in & out smooth and hot tub a bonus. Totally exceeded expectations.

Bay of Fundy Retreat
This is a lovely property situated right on the Bay of Fundy, about 15 minutes west of Saint John NB. This property is very private and the owners have paid attention to the details that make for a stress free get away. The house is nicely appointed and the kitchen is very well stocked with just about anything you could imagine by way of quality dishes, glassware, large and small appliances, storage containers, you name it . The Master ensuite is gorgeous. We were 5 people and 3 generations and having the separate downstairs bedrooms/bath and family room provided a nice separation for the teenagers when they needed their own space. You could watch the waves roll in and the ships come and go from the distant port from any room in house or even from the hot tub on the lower deck. The expansive views of the Bay were amazing. We were less than 15 minutes to great hiking trails albeit they were not all open when were there due to the season; however we did get to explore Black Beach and some if its trails, which we will be sure to return to in season. The owner was very responsive to any questions.We would recommend this property.

Great mini vacation for the family!
My family and I stayed at Karens house for a week and absolutely loved everything. The house is newly renovated and designed beautifully. Location is absolutely amazing. The wildlife (deer, seals, porpoises) that we saw everyday was a huge hit for the entire family. Couldnt have asked for a more accomdating hostess. Karen made sure we had absolutely everything we needed, including a highchair and playpen for our 1 year old and lots of games and colouring books for our 5 year old. If we're ever back in Saint John, NB. We will definitely be staying here again!

Sweet Time Away
Outstanding accommodations!! Home was perfect!! The views are amazing. Watching the tide coming in & out daily was great!! The wild life of deer, geese, seals and loom were a treat to watch and see. The different colors of rocks when the tide was put was so pretty. Karen made our stay wonderful!! Greeted us with sweet gifts upon arrival, Thank You Karen. Thanks for sharing your home.
