"The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields. The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. It was a great location for our extended family getaway. The pool was perfect and provided good shade for the children. "Nous avons été déçu de notre gîte. Les alentours sont mal entretenus, l’impression d’abandon. Dans la chambre n°3, le matelas est plus large que le sommier. La cuisine: manque de vaisselle, d’ustensiles de cuisine, de bols pour déjeuner. Des plats rouillés. Pas de vraie cafetière… il faut des dosettes senseo. Manque aspirateur, seau et serpillère pour faire le ménage. Sur la terrasse, les lattes en bois se soulèvent, le salon de jardin est vieillissant, odeur de fosse septique."

"Lovely classic old French house, slightly out of town (very short drive, OK walk) with great pool, top quality table football, table tennis, nice furnishings. One bedroom off by the pool, for better or worse. Riberac is a quiet but nice town, and the house is near the river, across from a small village with a friendly cafe - closed for part of August. Very convenient to supermarket and petrol."

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. The house was perfect for our family, we were travelling with a 2yr old and a 6 week old and the space outside for our 2 year old was amazing!
