The most recent review before mine describing the villa as "very basic" is accurate, but overlooks that the villa has a perfect location steps from the cute little village of Sainte-Anne as well as an amazing view of the ocean and sunsets. Oh those sunsets will be missed by us!
We spent 7 nights at the villa for our first visit to Martinique. We cooked dinner at the villa every night and had what we needed in terms of pots, pans, plates, etc., but no basics were provided such as oil and salt/pepper so we had to buy those things. There was also no toilet paper or paper towels. The villa could also use some updating with the beds, linens and towels. They were all pretty old and worn, and the beds weren't very comfortable for us, partly because the pillows were flat and lumpy and there was no blankets, only a very light sheet.
No AC which was fine with a nice breeze always blowing, and fans in all the rooms. Also no wifi which was annoying at first since the listing clearly says internet is at the villa and we depend on that to keep in touch with family back home, but actually by the end of the week we really enjoyed the break from our devices and got by with a quick check in with the bakery's wifi each morning with a croissant.
If you want luxury accommodations and are used to nice hotels and resorts, this place may not be for you. At times, it did feel a little like camping to us. But if you're more interested in a good location and a good view, this villa will suit you well.
We absolutely loved Martinique, and especially Sainte-Anne. The people were so friendly and it's just a real nice, safe, clean, pretty little village.
