We had one of the best vacations we’ve ever had!
The ranch and the family were super friendly and very accommodating answering all our “city folk” questions about ranch life. Our inquisitive 6yo made fast friends with the horses just across the driveway, greeting them each morning and evening. We were able to watch the farrier re-shoe a horse - fascinating!
The home is private, clean, and well appointed inside. There is a generous mud room for gear, hats, hiking boots, etc. There is no air conditioning, but it’s not needed. We were there during Aug. temps were mid 90s every day but the home was cool and very comfortable (60s) inside nearly all the time.
Mary our host was gracious, responsive and accommodating, wonderful to work with. Other highlights include: gorgeous mountain views and sunsets, Amish store 2 miles away - great for lunch. Salmon area has hiking, rafting, horseback riding all close, and a cute downtown area. Check out the Highlander brewery, you won’t be disappointed.
We will be back in the area again and will definitely seek out another stay on the ranch.
