Lovely apartment
This apartment and property are well cared for, secure and a short walk down a road to the beach. The apartment has gorgeous views in the main area and primary bed room. There is a river crossing from this section of the beach as well as it is a little far from the main section of town which is great if you want a quieter place to stay but does require a vehicle or quite a walk to get to the restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful views of the horses and ocean!
Fun low key location. Can walk to the beach and to town (walking beachfront to the town is fastest). Close to a good restaurant called La Perla. Big windows.

Excellent all around!
Spent a beautiful relaxing week at the Begonia suite at Alta Vista. The property is very clean and well maintained. Fantastic little details like beach chairs and laundry on site made our stay effortless. The views are spectacular and access to the beach is superb. The layout and decor is simple, modern and spacious. 100% recommended. I’m sure we will be back.

Great location, reasonably priced, and a comfortable stay. The unit we were in was well-equipped, and the communication from the owner was fantastic. We stayed in 4 separate places in our visit to Costa Rica, and this was easily our best experience. The town of Samara is also an absolute gem.

Great Location for upscale experience
Patrick and all the staff were great. We really enjoyed the location which was walking distance to everything in Samara yet far enough away to feel secluded. The wild life on the property was amazing . We had lots of monkeys, coatimundis, parrots, and the elusive motmot and scarlet macaw. Excellent all around Thanks Everyone

Great stay at Playa Samara
Our family of 5 with three kids really enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach was east and the kids spent hours enjoying the pool. The property was clean and we liked having a locked garage stall. Great stay, we would come again!

Great condo
We just spent 3 weeks at Patrick’s place. The condo was great! Plenty of space for my family of 4. The condo staff was friendly and helpful. We ended up renting a golf cart as the walk into town was a bit long for my kiddos. Would definitely stay again.

Great property. Albeit some confusion and owner not believing that a/c was broke before I got there, which was admitted by other staff, the stay was great. Perfect Costa Rican getaway.

Broken A/C dampened otherwise great experience
Conveniently situated with great views but when an essential comfort of a tropical climate living is not there, the entire experience is compromised. The A/C broke down on the our second day of a 7 day stay and did not get repaired. When I asked Patrick yo give me a small discount, he answered that it was a fact of the third world. I thought the third world risk was a poor excuse as we did not pay third world prices. When you have all the amenities of a first world experience accompanied by the price to match, I’d expect better standards. Other than that, the condo was fine.

Lovely, spacious condo, great location.
We loved Samara, we loved the Condo - clean, safe, everything you would need in the kitchen, spacious, great double shower, a stroll to the beach, a little pool for a cool dip, great extras like beach towels and beach chairs. The views are beautiful as are the monkeys, iguanas, horses and birds. Great beach for strolling, surfing, and drinking cocktails 🍸🍸! All perfect apart from one thing... the 6 day festival in the field opposite between Xmas and New Year, unless you are a very heavy sleeper or partying until the early hours it does unfortunately disrupt the tranquility, just something to consider during this one week of the year. Other than this I would 100% recommend this beautiful spot and would love to return.

We had no complaints, the condo, location, and staff were all absolutely wonderful! From what we saw, this condo is one of the nicest places to stay in Samara and I would stay here again. Samara has the best food we experienced in Costa Rica and a beautiful quiet beach. The night turtle nesting tour is a MUST!

Amazing!
Thank you for our amazing stay in the Begonia condo. The location was perfect, the condo immaculate, and attention to detail was stellar. The pictures truly depict what we arrived to. From the start of my booking, I felt very well taken care of. Laura met us for both check in and check out with such pleasure and professionalism. Dennis, the groundkeeper, was so lovely and Xinia, the cleaner, was excellent. If Dennis offers you ceviche....go for it! It was so delicious. There isn't anything I'd do differently... I truly look forward to another trip! Thank you!!

Fantastic Beach Condo!
We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing condo in Samara! It is comfortable, well-equipped, safe and the scenery is just to die for. Waking up each morning to a view of the sunrise over the beach and horses in the pasture out front through the glass wall of the bedroom was unbelievable! Howler monkey, coati and bird sightings from the windows and roof top patio were a bonus. The location just can't be beat. It's quiet and away from the hustle & bustle of Samara, yet an easy 15-20 walk into town either on the road or along the beach. The beach itself is less than a five minute walk down a quiet road. Don't miss eating at Soda la Perla in the neighborhood - easily the best meals we had in Costa Rica. Playa Samara itself is fantastic too. Beautiful beach that's great for swimming, body surfing or learning to surf. Waves probably aren't exciting enough for serious surfers, but great if you just like to hang out & relax. Lots of great restaurants/bars right on the beach and plenty of tourist activities to choose from in the area. We loved everything about the condo and Samara and can't wait to come back.

Very Pleasant

Beautiful view, quiet location
We loved this condo and the quiet location! You can easily walk to the beach and to Samara via the beach or on the road, although we found out you cannot walk into Samara along the beach during high tide without crossing a river. We loved watching all the howler monkeys that sleep in the trees above the condo and also the horses in the pasture across the street. This is a great place to stay if you're visiting Samara!

Wonderful apartment in a great location
We greatly enjoyed our 5-night stay at Altavista at the end of March. Beautiful location close to the beach, breathtaking views and outstanding apartment and amenities. We had some very hot days, and it was great to have the pool. Fun to grill on the patio. We recommend the half-day boat tour with Denis' son-in-law -- we had dozens of dolphins swim up close to the boat and had a great snorkeling experience (even though we had no luck with the fishing). Sámara is a very special place. Also don't miss the sunset on Carrillo Beach and the nearby Barrigona Beach. We biked there, which maybe wasn't the best idea on a 95-degree day, but it was beautiful. Would love to come back sometime.

A beautiful property and a great place to relax
The property is located at the perfect distance to be accessible and yet not too close to the buzz of the town. Great layout, perfectly kept and the staff was warm and very efficient. The sunrise from the window of the master bedroom is breathtaking. Go there, relax, live a little.

Alta Vista is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it as the best place to stay in samara
Epic views, 2 minute walk to the beach, sweet plunge pool, monkeys that come and visit morning and night, birds eye view of an array of amazing tropical birds that fly right up to your patio, horses that wander by, you would think that you are in paradise and you are!!.... Alta Vista is situated at the end of the beach & is an easy walk to an array of restaurants and any thing you need. The facilities are trendy and well kept and the staff are amazing ....including zorro the security dog who I will miss xo. I will definately be back with my family. Thank you Patrick for providing such an amazing property for guests to enjoy samara from

Samara Paradise
Our family of three + grandma loved case Begonia. It has a great location on the north end of Samara beach away from town about 3/4km. We rented bikes to go to and from town and there is a good "super" market 100m walk. The condo has an enchanting view through floor to ceiling Windows. Highly recommended!
