"The location of this house is absolutely perfect! Right on the Ohio River, each sunrise was different on the river and all of them breathtaking! Loved watching the barges pass from the rocking chairs or swing on the deck. Quiet location and not too far from beautiful hiking trails. The drives to the trails were also gorgeous. We would stay here again."

"You can’t beat the views from the deck. Great to see the barges float down the river. Cell coverage is difficult (at least with Verizon), but that’s ok so that you can just get away & relax, and enjoy the river life. Took a driving tour along the Ohio River, really enjoyed all the small towns in the area. Great place to get away!"

"Amazing 5 days! The home was lovely! Very clean. The views were so beautiful. I have stage 4 breast cancer and the last year and a half have been difficult. This is just what the doctor ordered. My husband and I found a calmness we haven't had for a long time. We just stayed in the house the entire time to enjoy the beauty around us. Very quiet and so serene. Can't wait to rebook!"

"Pictures are deceiving. The building itself is old, moldy, and downright gross. The neighbors driveway is directly next to the entry way to the "cabin." The building is ok from the outside, but the location bites. The path to the lake is blocked by a large dead tree. The The windows that face the neighbors have no curtians and you can see into the property from outside especially at night. The neighbors are outside from 6 am until 9 pm. "If the idea of peace, quiet, and an amazing Ohio River view interest you consider Le Chalet a must. So cool to watch long barges slowly navigate the bends of the river. Especially at night! Almost hypnotic. Bud and his team were fantastic and a pleasure to meet. We will return."

"We stayed at this home for a weekend getaway. The property was well maintained and comfortable and the outside deck/yard are perfect for hosting BBQ and sitting around the fire. The marina and boat launch were convenient and just a few minutes away from the house which quick and easy lake access to launch the boat and get the lake days started! Our stay was excellent! Would recommend! "

"I really liked the pavilion outside. That was a very nice sitting area that was covered. What I did not like was the room accross from me had someone constantly throwing something at the door that could be heard accross the hall into my room. Other than that the place was great, I would stay there again."

"Overall, we loved Santa's Lodge. The staff was great, it was clean, breakfast had a nice variety of choices, and the big yard was great for playing outside. The only reason i gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the pullout beds. They were terribly thin, uncomfortable and loud. If you don't need the pullouts, the rooms were fine. They're dated, but clean and comfortable. But if you need the pull-out for someone to sleep on, I'd book two rooms next time instead. "
