50th anniversary stay
We came to Marfarm with a small family group to make memories. It was everything we had hoped for. During the day we hiked, did tourist type things, visited Hearst Castle, had lunches on the water front, etc. Night time was great homemade dinners at the farm, bocci ball, wine, sitting around the fire pit and lots of conversations. Not to mention the great horses and alpacas we got to watch. A one time experience. Thanks Jill and Izzi.

Even Better IRL
We had a fabulous time, and the property and surrounds are even more beautiful than the photos. Loved having adorable farm animals right outside our door and taking walks around the farm and surrounding vineyards. Everyone was warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to return!

Best vacation ever
The house afforded endless pleasure! There’s nothing like having breakfast on a deck with alpacas in view. Or being able to do a trail ride through vineyards with an ultra-friendly host. Or strolling around to chat with horses, a pig, and more creatures. Gorgeous house, beautiful property, and fantastic location. We discovered so much about the area and will definitely be back to MarFarm!

The perfect family getaway
We had an amazing time at MarFarm. The property and grounds totally exceeded our expectations. Staying on a working farm was a big hit with the kids (and the adults, too). The animals were up close and accessible but did not interfere at all with a restful nights sleep. The hosts and staff were very accommodating and helpful. This was the absolute perfect place for our family getaway to SLO. We’re looking forward to staying here again soon!

Picturesque setting and property
The location and setting are fabulous overlooking pastures of grazing horses, vineyards and purple mountains in the distance. The drive-up and curb appeal sets the stage with fabulous outdoor spaces including gorgeous gardens, landscaping and hardscape, multiple firepits, patios and areas to sit with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. The inside took our breath away and we marveled at the architectural details, high end finishes, attention to detail & artistic accents that elevate this modern farmhouse experience....an amazing barn conversion in every way! All Bedroom suites were exquisite with lux bathrooms and fireplaces. The Kitchen and coffee station were perfect plus dining area and a cozy sitting area in front of an indoor fireplace. Stunning light fixtures plus western & horsey accents throughout. We loved and made friends with cute farm animals and horses right out our back door. Everyone on the property were great and we even had an aerobics exercise class available Thanksgiving morning! We are so appreciative of the vision the Marshall's had for their property and the fact that they are so willing to share it with those of us looking for a great experience vacation! Also, easy drive to SLO for dinners out and neighboring vinyards for tastings. Thank you again!

Weekend for family birthday
This was a beautiful space to celebrate our daughters milestone birthday and relax on this amazing property for the weekend. We cooked and enjoyed lots of meals together and the kitchen and property was beautiful and well stocked. We enjoyed the animals around the property, the fire pits, games, and views!

Amazing!
We loved staying here. The Property is amazing. We loved all the animals that were surrounding the rental. The colors were incredible (we went in Autumn/fall) and the reds, oranges and yellows rivaled the East Coast. Just stunning in every way.

We want to stay longer!!!
Marfarm was a dream. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect, relaxing place for our group. We love the open space and taking walks around the ground. The kids love the animals and was extremely sad to leave. We had a great time and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A fabulous retreat
We had a great time at Marfarm - the property is spectacular and every detail is perfect. We had so much fun playing Bocce Ball on the court, walking the grounds, and just plain old relaxing. We will have many great memories of our stay there.

Farm paradise
It’s heaven. We never left to go site seeing as planned. Instead, we just drank wine and coffee and ate cheese and read books and hung with the animals. What a re-charge!!! We came home ready to hit it again. Beautiful vacation.

We’ve already made our next reservation to visit again!
A wonderful stay at Marfarm-perfect for anyone wanting a true get away. Beautifully appointed interior and such comfortable beds! The grounds were stunning and we really enjoyed our evenings hanging around the firepits. Take a walk around the property and see the animals and vineyards. The lovely owners and the working staff are very welcoming and Casey was available when we needed her. Highly recommend.

Magical Experience
Hands down the BEST property we've ever stayed at. It is BEAUTIFUL. Everything is top notch. Our kids were in heaven exploring the farm and playing with all the animals - donkey, pig, horses, cow, alpacas (or were they llamas? ;)), goats, chickens. We played Bocce and corn hole, took advantage of the grill and ate outside. Games around the fire pit. We already can't wait to return. Jose and Hamish added a personal touch and we appreciated their hospitality. Thank you!!

A perfect family vacation!
Overall, I highly recommend this place. The location is amazing (you wake up in a beautiful farm with all the animals), the property is well kept and clean and fully stocked! Property owners and staff were really friendly and Casey (property manager) is super professional and accommodating!

Above & Beyond
No detail overlooked. Ideal for families or a couples getaway. Easy 15 mins to downtown and campus, but the ranch feels like a different world. Bonded with Daisy the pig, did yoga alongside the alpacas, woke up to the hens announcing their eggs, made s’mores, gazed at the stars while the frogs exchanged song, and had wine and bocce ball tournaments during amazing sunset views. Don’t miss this one. It’s worth every penny.

Gorgeous little farm on beautiful property.
This is a beautifully converted barn done with impeccable taste. Every convenience is provided. Our entire family loved visiting all the animals. The house is gorgeous and extremely comfortable.

Outrageously unique and luxurious
This property is so incredible, it is hard to believe it is in ANY rental pool. The architecture and the interior design were at the highest level of quality and originality, and the Marfarm representatives could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Large, open, entertaining/gathering spaces, and the professionally designed outdoor space were perfect for our family reunion and graduation celebration. We will definitely be back!
