"Not ideal for a couple in their late 70's, recovering from a recent heart attack - lots of outside steps to the second floor suite. Only one easy chair, the other one of us had to sit on a straight-backed chair, or in bed. Fortunately, we didn't spend much time in the suite. The kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare a light breakfast and supper. Pleasant atmosphere, and certainly adequate."

"Very nice place nestled in the woods. Extremely quiet area. We really enjoyed sitting on the huge screened in deck with soaring ceiling. We had a small problem and Pao was there to remedy it within a couple hours. We really appreciated the quick response. Just a few minutes to Bayfield where there are numerous restaurants and/or bars, shops, rentals and the ferry to Madeline Island. If we get to the area again we would definitely stay there again."

"I recently stayed at the Spirit Lodge with three of my children (18,15,13) and we all had a fantastic time. The location was perfect as we were able to bike to the Town Park for beach time and canoeing. We were also able to explore the State Park as it was just a short drive away. The lodge was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary amenities. We will definitely be back in the future!"
