"Very clean and well supplied kitchen and well presented rooms. Comfy bed but very lumpy pillows. The ensuite vent banged quite loudly throughout the night in the wind causing a disturbed sleep. It would be good if the apps on the tv worked so that guests could log into their own subscription tv. Generally, excellent value for money."

"Lovely place to stay in a rural setting. The cottage was cosy and warm, and had everything we needed. The only downside was no wifi, but we had a good phone connection so managed with our hotspot. Jo & Clive were great hosts alwsys available and helpful. It is ideally situated for walk, Buxton, Leek and other peak park towns. Would definitely book it again."

"We’ve stayed in the other property and that seemed to be abit more updated than this one. It advertised as having internet but as property is so remote and thick cottage stone we couldn’t get any internet. Also kitchen area may be needs some updating. All in all had a lovely time. "

We had an issue wuth one of the bedroom doors but was resolved for us to be ble to use that same ecening. "We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned.
