"My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!"

"We enjoyed staying here and watching the fireworks on the river. The property was clean and the neighbors were very friendly. My husband and son enjoyed the fishing, just use plenty of bug spray because it’s not just the fish biting around there! "

"Family members traveled from Northern Wisconsin and Western Pennsylvania to join in on the celebration of another family member's 45 years of teaching/retirement observance in nearby Yorkville. Three generations stayed comfortably in the spacious home. "We spent a wonderful weekend fishing with friends and rented this house on the river. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The fish were biting well, and the house was very clean and cozy. The interior of the house is beautiful, all finished in wood, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.Our kids also enjoyed it very much and had a great time. Fishing was convenient right from the pier, which was a big plus for us.I highly recommend this house for fishing trips and family...

"We were disappointed in this unit. This is a very old building that needs a lot of work. The windows are filthy. The front door mats are bunched up in a pile on the front stoop. The ‘movie themed’ decor was chinsy at best. The parking area is filled with garbage, broken cinder blocks, a tire, and a junked car. There weee old shoes on balcony. "The property is super clean, updated, and very accommodating. Went back home to visit family and wanted a place my kids would be comfortable. They absolutely loved the game room. Everything thing we needed during our stay was available. Location was perfect for my trip (literally walking distance to my grandma) and close to stores. I would definitely recommend, especially for families. Look forward to booking again. "

"We should have listened to the other reviews on this place, but unfortunately there wasn't much in the area to choose from. From the moment we walked in it smelled terrible, almost like a skunk smell. Obviously it's right on the Fox River so there's going to be bugs but a lot of the windows especially upstairs are not sealed right and in one of the bedrooms there were a ton of mosquitoes and other bugs all over the ceiling.
