We were able to walk to everything, parking was explained and went fine, dogs very welcome and appreciated not having to bring my cages. We had great time in Savannah.

This property was great; however, we felt as the description and property rules were not outlined beforehand. In our 3 night stay, we were called 6 times and texted by the host multiple times telling us the AC was too low and it would “freeze” being set at 66. The host also remotely raised the AC to 74 in the middle of the night causing us to wake up sweating. We are from the south also and keep our AC (that is much older and smaller) on 64-66 and have not had any issue with the AC “freezing.” Nowhere in the house rules or contract does it state the AC cannot be lowered below 70, so we felt it was inappropriate and an invasion of privacy for the host to keep remotely raising the AC. The calls and texts every day felt like borderline harassment.

Our stay at the cottage was absolutely perfect. I have never stayed in a rental that was exactly as listed. It was so beautiful. Location was perfect. You can walk to almost any location in the downtown area. The cottage was so clean. I'm OCD and couldn't find any area that wasn't clean. Also, the extra little things matter. Such as supplying q-tips, makeup pad removers, more than enough towels, blow dryers, curling iron, as well as a straightener. Includes a full size washer-dryer and even supplied a few laundry pods, fabric softener. And I can't forget the frosted glasses..perfect for an ice cold adult beverage. Believe me when I say you will not regret renting from this owner. We did get to meet Charles and had a wonderful chat. Many thanks, and we will be back.

Impressed with the house and furnishings. Just right for the four of us and our little dog. Right across the street from the Pirate's House and a couple of blocks to River Street. Charles was very helpful with parking information. Definitely would stay there again.

My wife and I loved this property. It had things you usually don’t find such as washer and dryer, some personal hygiene products, laundry products, etc. AND, it’s within walking distance to River St without the noise of staying right on River St. you also have to pay park during the day, 8am-8pm but it’s not bad. I think it says it tops out at 20 for parking but it probably cost us 10 or less. Will definitely stay here again!

The home was so beautiful, decorated with the historic district in mind. We walked to most of the restaurants. Charles responded quickly to any questions we had. Location was excellent. In historic district close to most everything. Couple of parks close by as well as restaurants and rooftop bars. Accommodation's were very nice. Everything you’d expect was provided. Would recommend for Savannah vacation.

If you want a place that is walkable to major places of interest in Savannah, this is where you want to stay! This older, quaint two bedroom, two bath cottage has everything a vacationer would need. The house is sweetly decorated with what looks like a newly renovated kitchen. The property manager sent us detailed information about the house and parking before our arrival and was just a call away if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here with my brother and sister-in law, walked around Savannah, enjoyed amazing food. This property was wonderful, quiet neighborhood, in very close proximity to everything. We like to walk, and every place was walkable. 3 nights 60000 steps. We fell in Love with Savannah on this trip, and staying here made all the difference. Thank you so much!!!Bill and Deb

Located within walking distance of River Street, historic homes and parks, walking tours, and great dining. Cottage is super clean and well furnished with amenities from coffee to laundry pods to Qtips. Owners are easy to communicate with and welcoming. We’ve already made 2026 reservations.

The Captains Cottage is just a short walk to the Riverfront's party life, yet distant enough to enjoy quiet time also. We thoroughly enjoy our time at this retreat. The owners are gracious and welcoming- defining southern hospitality! The furnishings are comfortable, the beds were comfortable. The lighting is divine. I would highly recommend this rental - Five Stars!

Great location! Near many shops, restaurants, squares/parks and river in the historic district. Captain’s Cottage is notably popular. The hosts are wonderful and we plan to stay again longer next time. Suggest that if you stay at this location for more than a weekend, get a parking pass at the Bryan Street parking garage. Easy and allows you to sleep in when meters are in affect 8 am-8 pm.
