Weekend Stay
The area and surroundings were absolutely beautiful, the accommodation however was not what was expected as soon as you walk in there was a fusty smell and very old furniture which was very uncomfortable also the beds were hard and uncomfortable and the kitchen equipment felt dirty and in the bathroom there were cobwebs, all in all good weekend but the accommodation was overpriced and disappointing 😞

Lovely cottage
A great little cottage. Stayed for a week. Away from hustle and bustle but close enough to Scarborough, whitby, filey, Bridlington. Some nice walks about. Our dogs loved it.

Cute and cosy cottage, ideal for a break away
Great location with easy links to surrounding area. Cottage was cute, cosy and had everything you need. Clear communications from the lovely Jo. Welcome note, tea/coffee/sugar/milk/biscuits to start the break off were much appreciated. I'd definitely recommend. 3 cottages, meaning up to 12 people could stay.

Beautiful little gem
Light , airy ,a very sweet cottage . The sofa is super comfy and beds are cosy and warm . The cottage was well equipped and everything was to hand. All the heating / hot water was very good. The views are to dye for , stunning location. The neighbours were very friendly . I have one small little niggle, my oversight I’m sure, but there didn’t appear to be anywhere at the top of the hill to walk our dog , so consequently it meant having to go up and down the steep windy road track . We did find Scalby beck though and it is a perfect of lead doggy walk .

Disappointed
Not really dog friendly. They accept dogs but property opens out onto lane and you have to walk dogs on leads and on lane. Not enough equipment - 1 egg cup and 3 wine glasses for 4 people ! No DVD player. Decor clean but tired. Views on photos misleading as property looks out onto house across the road. Vastly overpriced I’m afraid.

A Peaceful Stay
We had a lovely stay at the property. It has everything you would want from a cottage. A peaceful location with good access to Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast. Accepts dogs too which is a plus.

Foxglove Cottage, East Farm, Scalby
The property was clean and airy. All your basic requirements. Lovely hot water, good shower. The setting was so peaceful, the surroundings were picturesque. A nice relaxing break for 3 adults and 2 dogs.Lovely walks around, and a short drive to the coast. Very enjoyable.

Quaint cottage in unusually quiet location
Perfect for our needs, closer than you might think to local amenities and attractions. Nice pubs in the village! Owners were super easy to work with and very helpful.

Overall we enjoyed the stay, but, the main problem was the internet was very poor "when it worked at all" the tap continually dripped in the kitchen, and the shower was very weak, i feel if these things were to be improved then the holiday experience would be very much better..

Scarborough break.
The cottage was just what we wanted for our short break,clean and tidy and all that we needed .lovely viems of the contryside,which were lovely to wake up to in the morning.All we wanted and a bit more besides,our two little dogs enjoyed their freedom also.So very satisfactory for us all for our short break.Roger&Margaret Hammond ,Chico and Gina.
