Always Wonderful
I was here for the third time for a solo getaway and I had the best time! The place is just perfect for a long stay or a quick getaway, well-stocked, comfy beds, scenic forest setting for the hot tub whether you're enjoying the sunshine or peeking at the stars through the redwood canopy. The location is unbeatable if you want quiet, yet just-out-the-front -door access to the incredible Sea Ranch trail system.

Magical!
This wooded cabin has everything you need for an enchanting stay! This was our second time in this cottage and we just loved it! The huge trees just outside the dramatic windows are breathtaking, and the location can't be beat - a trailhead awaits just a couple of houses down. Kitchen is well stocked, the house is squeaky clean, beds are comfy, and fireplace is so nice after a day of exploring. We can't wait to come back!

A wonderful escape
We really enjoyed our short visit in this beautiful home. The location in the forest is serene and relaxing with easy access to the beach and great hiking trails. The home is clean and well-equipped and very quiet. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working during our visit so we look forward to returning again so we can try it out.

This was a great spot in the redwoods! The house was clean and well stocked with amenities. The two bedrooms were on the lower (ground) floor, but the living areas and front door were up the flight of stairs. There was a back door for entry at ground level.

Great Redwood Escape
This is a special/spiritual property. Buried in Redwood trees. Five miles from SRL, way up in the private redwoods. We never left the property, after arriving. A great experience we will never forget. Fully furnished. I would definitely book again. Many Thanks. The Jacuzzi was awesome and much needed.

Redwoods calm
Charming, serene home in the redwoods. Let the natural beauty soothe you. We felt like we were living among the trees. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this beautiful setting. A wonderful place to get away from it all. Plenty of hiking trails nearby and the gorgeous Sea Ranch community never disappoints.

Cabin in the woods feel
It was a fine place to stay. It had everything I needed and seemed clean. The beds were more squishy than I like, but they were fine for a couple of nights. It is at the top of a big hill and in the woods so harder to access the bluff trails which make Sea Ranch so great for me. My friend and I also had a very hard time accessing the Wi-Fi and had to try multiple times before getting it to work. This was challenging, as I arrived alone and had no service for miles.

Tree House
Lovely simple house in the trees. Three stories all in trees. Hot tub.Two cozy bedrooms downstairs. Living room and well appointed kitchen on middle floor and a recreation room on top. Easy access to trails both in woods and along the ocean. My friend and I and both our dogs felt right at home and far away from the daily worries of home!

Hideaway in the Trees
We had a lovely time at the property, which was very private amongst the redwoods. The unit contained everything we needed for a restful visit and the kitchen was well equipped. Even the barbecue outside was ready with charcoal! We loved the outdoor hot tub and the indoor wood burning fireplace. Plenty of firewood and kindling provided. Catherine was very responsive. Highly recommend this property! Also convenient to the Sea Ranch Lodge, which we enjoyed for evening cocktails. Loved the kayak rentals on the Gualala River. Beautiful spot.

Amazing Sea Ranch Getaway
Firstly, Catherine was an excellent host! She responded quickly to questions and made sure we were take. Care of. A wonderful experience all around. The house itself was fantastic! Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The location is great, just a short drive to many beaches, hikes, and Gualala restaurants and stores. This will definitely be a repeat stay!

Charming and refreshing getaway
The pictures don’t do this property justice! The home is a striking tower snuggled in by redwoods, and although it’s a smaller home, the three levels create a spacious feeling and plenty of privacy for different members of your party! There’s a loft upstairs, living room on the middle floor, and then the bedrooms are downstairs. Everything you need is there, kitchen is well equipped, beds are super comfortable, bathrooms are clean and inviting. The hot tub is really hot! Very nice and clean and overall such a wonderful and relaxing stay. Trails everywhere and close to the beach and lodge . We will definitely be back!

Relaxing getaway!!
Very nice getaway for my husband and I. Plus we brought our dog too! We were able to enjoy the ocean and mountains. Nice place inside and out. So quiet and serene. This was an anniversary gift to ourselves and well worth it.

We found Moonraker to be very comfortable for us and our two chihuahuas. The kitchen was well equipped to meet my cooking needs. The bluffs, beaches and hiking trails in the area were easy to access. The owner and her housekeeper were very attentive in checking in to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect.

Perfect Getaway
I travel often for work and play - this trip was both and I invited a friend to come with a few days early so we could drive north from San Francisco and have an adventure. What an delightful and unexpected trip we had. We purposely chose something out of the way - a little forest...a little ocean. Quiet and restful - something to take away the busyness even if only for a few days. We got all of that and more. The Sea Ranch has a really interesting history. If you stay in this house - there is a coffee table book that tells it all and I encourage you to read all of it. The Sea Ranch is not just a community...but a lifestyle - natural, laid back....quiet. You could easily drive through it and not even know it was there. Situated along a 10 mile stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway (HWY 1) you will find gorgeous views, breathtaking sunsets, great hikes and all the nature you can absorb. It was just what we needed. The Moonraker house was wonderful - just as described. The host was very nice and checked in to make sure we were happy. The house was clean and functional - with everything we needed. It was easy to access with plenty of instruction and maps to local places. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was hot!! We loved it!! The house is really cool - laid out just perfectly with delightful outdoor spaces that enhance your time in nature. Just a quick hike down the road and you are at Black Point Beach - simply incredible. Restaurants and shops are as described at the main center and 10 miles north in Gualala. Everyone was very hospitable everywhere we went. Couple of tips: you most likely won't have phone service, but the WIFI works great. There are signs everywhere...so if you don't have service and can't get a map....just drive another mile and you'll find another coast access point. Every beach is fantastic - and beleive me....we hiked down to every one....(so happy about that hot tub!!). If you go to the Sea Ranch Community Center and want any meal - you won't be disappointed, just make sure to make reservations - they are sticklers about that. Make sure to stop by the Sea Ranch Chapel (magical), Trinks Restaurant in Gualala for breakfast or lunch (delicious), Gualala Arts Center and Dune Drift beach - there be colorful rocks to collect there. All that topped off with a few drives up and down the PCH and an afternoon in the Redwood Forest and you have a perfect get away. Highly recommended!!
