If the sound, view, and smell of the ocean hasn’t already relaxed you, caretaker Michelle’s welcoming smile and helpful cabin tour will make you feel right at home. Exceptional care has gone into the décor and provisioning of the cabin. Natural wood elements throughout and the right touch of whimsy add to the charm. To our happy surprise, the kitchen was already stocked with cooking oil, salt, pepper, butter, syrup, frozen waffles, mini cereal boxes, food wrap, paper towels and more. The useful collection of cookware is in great shape. There are plenty of towels, quality bath amenities, and blankets for snuggling on the couch. Michelle and Dave, the owner, are very responsive to any needs that arise. Check out the binder on the coffee table for helpful general information, cool pictures of the area, as well as recommendations for dining, espresso, and groceries.
You could spend the whole time in this cozy, clean, well-appointed cabin and never tire of the view. Clouds, sun, birdlife, marine vessels, and tides create ever-changing enchanting views. The tides renew the beach outside the door, creating interesting new shore walks. If you want to get out and about, there are amazing hikes within easy driving distance. We loved hiking Cape Flattery, Shi Shi Beach, and the Lake Ozette Loop, which takes you through lush forest and a monolith strewn beach.
Be sure to check out the engaging Makah museum in Neah Bay. We enjoyed quality offerings and friendly people at Native Grou
