"Lucy was so helpful in answering questions and supporting us. It is a lovely spot unique and connected to the history of the area. Walks from our front door. Good pub across the river and comfy beds as we fell asleep to the sound of the river . We will be back!"

"Superb location in Lynton. The best place to stay for access to the town, walks and funicular down to Lynmouth. Good view of the bay from up on the terrace too. Just bear in mind that the kitchen is a spiral staircase and two flights of stairs away from the terrace. Accommodation is good for a couple & dog, providing you’re ok with the.spiral staircase. "Three generations stayed here and all loved it. My 5 year old grandson was amazed at the “upside down” house. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Location was good for getting around. Very peaceful. The basket of goodies we received on arrival was lovely. Would definitely stay here again."

"As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. "
