Casa Lerryn is a true gem in central Portugal. Our family of four had an idyllic two-week stay and couldn’t have asked for more. The villa is cosy and full of traditional charm, with everything you need for cooking or BBQs. The beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly.The outdoor space is incredible — the pool was a highlight (especially during the hot weather), and the outside kitchen and dining area offered stunning views and peaceful sounds of nature. While the pool area is a sunny haven, the shaded seating areas nearby were perfect for relaxing. Our daughters loved the meadow, complete with swings, badminton, and football — such a fantastic play area.What really made our stay special were the hosts, Lerryn and Mark. They were wonderful and provided excellent recommendations on local places to visit. Tomar and Coimbra, both rich in history and charm, were unforgettable day trips.Casa Lerryn is the perfect balance of comfort, nature, and hospitality — highly recommended!

Little paradise

Mark and Lerryn's house is fantastic. Even better than the advertisement suggests. We had a fantastic time, thanks in part to Mark and Lerryn's wonderful hospitality and kindness. The surroundings are beautiful, the Portuguese friendly, the nights wonderfully cool, and the pool and garden truly heavenly. We would love to come back again.

A little Gem

Absolutely fantastic villa for peace and quite and set in its own mini valley.Just one property nearby and that is the wonderful owners who are so helpful and nice but respect your privacy too.The villa has a lovely outdoor area to eat and drink overlooking the woods and large gardens that are kept so nicely.The pool is very clean and well maintained.We found everything we needed in the villa with some nice extras provided by the host.The nearest supermarket is just 5 mins away by car or 20 walking.

Highly recommend

We have never felt so welcome in any rental we have ever stayed at. The hosts were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area, it really set us at ease. We have never been to Portugal but we will definitely be back to Casa Lerryn

Quaint and Quiet

The property was wonderful. It felt traditional, yet modern. Mark and Lerryn were fantastic hosts. They were always on hand should we need any help or support. The pool and patio area were sublime. We spent many a day relaxing and cooking in these areas. The only negative that we experienced was how uncomfortable we found the beds. Im a side sleeper, so find very hard beds no good for my hips or shoulders. My partner also found the beds to be too hard. We had to sleep downstairs on the sofabed, which was not ideal. Mark and Lerryn did offer us a spare mattress, but we didnt want to cause anymore fuss Overall, we had a lovely time at Casa Lerryn. We would highly recommend it.

Eine Perle der Erholung

Wir waren für drei Wochen mit unseren Kindern in der Casa Lerryn und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man für einen Urlaub braucht. Die Stille und der sehr schön gestaltete Aussenbereich, haben uns schon ab dem ersten Tag begeistert. Mark und Lerryn respektierten unsere Privatsspähre ungemein. Besonders toll war der schöne Pool, an dem es sich auch bei hohen Temperaturen sehr gut aushalten lies. Wir können die Casa Lerryn wärmstens empfehlen!

A perfect holiday getaway

We enjoyed so much staying in this beautiful house with private swimming pool. The place is surrounded by tranquil nature but the town is very close by and the closest shop and restaurant are in a walking distance. The hosts were really nice and helpful and provided us everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Everthing is also very clean and well organized. The atmosphere in this place is unique. We would love to go again.

Peaceful and Relaxing

The hosts Mark and Lerryn are great hosts. Very attentive. Casa Lerryn is a lovely place to spend a relaxing week. The most noise we could hear are the crickets chirping in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool area is a real sun trap and a great place to get a tan. Thank you Mark and Lerryn for letting us stay in your Casa.

très belle vacances

Nous avons passé de très belle journées à la Casa Leryn. Mark et Leryn sont très gentils et toujours très présent mais discret, ils habitent la maison d'a coté. La maison est très bien, la piscine est nettoyer tous les matin, le barbecue et le coin repas sont très bien le jardin est bien entretenu Leryn l'arrose tous les jours.

Perfect lie by the pool holiday.

Perfect place for a relaxed lie by the pool in beautiful surroundings and perfect peace and quiet. Hosts were lovely. Property far exceeded expectations. Pool because fairly shallow, did not need heating and so was perfect temperature.

Dias muito bem passados

Adoramos os dias que passamos na casa Leryn. O Mark e a Leryn são um casal muito simpatico e sempre muito presentes mas discretos. A Casa é muito boa , a piscina é Top , a zona do barbecue e refeições é muito boa e o jardim é enorme e tem alguns jogos de divertimento em familia. Wonderful, quiet, peaceful paradise in the middle of nature

We had a wonderful stay. Casa Lerryn is a wonderful little paradise in the middle of nature. You can relax in and around the pool or at the other seating areas. There are many birds, butterflies, some frogs and we also saw two deer. It is a quiet place to come to rest and become one with yourself and nature. In the garden we play badminton, football and tennis. Everything is already in place for each sport. Lerryn and Mark are wonderful hosts. They are always there if there is a question and have good tips for excursions. With a rental car, you can explore a lot of the surrounding area. Tomar, Coimbra, the N2 route and more. We also visited Lisbon and Porto, which are only two hours away. Serta is a nice little town, good supermarkets and bars. Beautifully situated by the river. We will be back, that's for sure. Thank you very much to Lerryn and Mark!

Highly recommended, beautiful location, peaceful.

Thank you to Mark and Lerryn. This is a really beautiful property, in a wonderful location. I booked it based on previous reviews. Waking up to the sound of bird song is wonderfully peaceful. We have walked and canoed and felt at one with nature. The coast is just over an hour away. The pond in the garden is home to water voles, lovely watching the adults and their young come out to feed. Frog made me jump one nightr! We have returned really refreshed. There are some lovely traditional restaurants in the area, which are very reasonably priced, and the food is wonderfully traditional. The house and the pool are immaculately maintained, and Mark and Lerryn are on hand and are very responsive. We would thoroughly recommend, and will return.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We had a lovely relaxing week at Casa Lerryn, it is in a lovely quiet area in the countryside but only a 5 minute drive into Serta. The villa was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with great outdoor spaces including a lovely barbeque area. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor games available to entertain young children. Lerryn and Mark were great hosts, they provided lots of information and advice on places to go to and things to do. We had a lovely week at Casa Lerryn.

Very nice house in a brilliant location

It is a house in walking distance of the town, and an oasis of peace. Mark and Lerryn are lovely hosts who want to take care of their guests. We had a very nice stay, working from the house was perfect and the pool was nice to cool down on a warm day. Great stay.

Die Casa Lerryn liegt am Ortsrand, wunderbar ruhig mit Vogelgezwitscher und dem Rauschen der Bäume. Uns haben die verschiedenen Aussenräume sehr gut gefallen: der private Pool-Bereich, die gedeckte Sitzecke vor dem Haus (Ende Okotber mit Decken ausgestattet), die Aussenküche mit Grill. Dazu eine sehr grosszügige Wiese mit verschiedenen Zonen zum Spielen, zum Sitzen, und vielen Blumen. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet auch in kühleren Tagen eine angenehme Unterkunft. Für uns war die Region Sertà bisher unbekannt. Wir waren überrascht, wie viel die Region zu bieten hat. Die umgebenden Hügel mit den Wandermöglichkeiten, die Flussbäder, die unzähligen hervorragenden und preiswerten Restaurants und selbstverständlich Städte wie Tomar oder Coimbra, welche mit dem Auto in ca. 1 Std. zu erreichen sind. Lerryn und Mark waren als Ansprechspersonen stets präsent und haben uns herzlich in Empfang genommen. Herzlichen Dank Euch beiden.

Wunderschön, ruhig gelegen und gemütlich

Wir hatten wunderschöne, entspannte 6 Nächte im September in der Casa Lerryn. Wurden zu Beginn super nett von Lerryn und Mark empfangen. Die Kommunikation war von Anfang an sehr gut und unkompliziert. Die Casa selbst ist total gemütlich, sodass man es sich auch an kälteren Tagen drinnen gemütlich machen kann. Der Außenbereich ist ebenfalls ein Traum. Der Pool ist kristallklar (dank Mark, der sich morgens drum kümmert), die Außenküche und verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten laden zum verweilen ein und im Garten kann man sich etwas im Schatten aufhalten oder eine Runde Federball spielen :). Mir hat auch die tolle, detaillgetreue Dekoration total gut gefallen. Man merkt, dass Lerryn und Mark auch ihren Gästen für die Urlaubszeit ein kleines Zuhause schaffen wollen. Also, wer Ruhe mag ist hier absolut richtig!! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Großer Dank an Lerryn und Mark! Svenja & Stefan

Fabulous family holiday

This was our first visit to Portugal and it didn’t disappoint. Casa Lerryn was the perfect location for our family holiday. The property was clean, well equipped and modern. Our girls loved the pool that Mark maintains to such a high standard. The outdoor spaces were all lovely, we made good use of the BBQ and kitchen. The location was perfect for us, quiet and relaxing surrounded by nature but only a 5 minute drive from Serta with it’s great selection of shops and restaurants. There were lots of things to see and do within the area. We didn’t manage to visit everything, we might have to go back one day! Lerryn and Mark were super hosts. They are always on hand with some helpful suggestions for days out etc but never intrusive. If you fancy a holiday away from the masses and a bit of adventure I can’t recommend this area and property strongly enough. We have come home relaxed and rejuvenated. We all agree this was the best family holiday we have taken.

Ideal para descansar

Foi uma experiência maravilhosa. Procurávamos o local ideal para descansar, num local sossegado, mas com todas as comodidades. A casa estava completamente preparada para receber a nossa família. Apreciamos o facto de terem todos os apetrechos necessários para fazer churrasco (incluindo carvão e pinhas), detergentes para a loiça e roupa (o que ajuda para grandes estadias ou para quem não viaja de carro), a existência de toalhas de praia, insufláveis e várias espreguiçadeiras junto da piscina. A casa era acolhedora, muito limpa e cuidada, com tudo para o nosso conforto. O nosso anfitrião (Mark) todos os dias de manhã bem cedo limpava a piscina e cuidava do espaço exterior. Sabendo que tínhamos uma criança pequena foram colocando novos brinquedos no jardim, como o cavalinho de baloiço e um jogo de argola. Recomendamos e esperamos lá voltar com amigos, pois a casa comporta bem 2 casais com filhos ou até 3 casais. Um muito obrigada à Lerryn e ao Mark.
