"Comfortable and well equipped home from home. Welcoming and communicative hosts and an excellent guide to the local area. The parking disc was a handy and thoughtful idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cooked a few nights in, kitchen is fine and functional. The bath is large and lovely and the bed comfortable . One big comfy sofa with extra blankets would be an upgrade to the living room. Thank you! <3"

"This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area."
We love the character of the property and the location is spot on for that perfect family holiday.

"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

"Our stay here was fantastic. The cottage was clean, spacious, clean, and well equipped. The staff was very attentive, beginning with precise directions to get there and continuing throughout our stay. The hot tub was great and we had a couple clear nights for star gazing. "The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled. We bought some descaler but it needs several attempts so we had to use a pan to heat water for drinks. The person in the accommodation...
