Beautiful, clean home
The bluebirds perch was wonderful! The hosts were so gracious and kind. The house is so spacious and decorated so tastefully. The property is so beautiful. The children loved feeding the horses hay and seeing the kitties. It exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful home
This home is beautiful inside and out. Very spacious. We were 3 senior couples who had plenty of room. The house was immaculate and we really enjoyed the wrap around porch for resting after walking ain town or at the flea market. Very close to town,less than 5 min. We met the owner Tim and he showed us and let us feed his horses. The house has all the amenities you might need but do remember to bring a bar of soap for bathing or whatever type of soap you use..We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Shipshewana.

Beautiful, spacious home close to town
It was a wonderful home, spacious, clean, well decorated. The owners were welcoming and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed being in the country, but conveniently located about a mile from town.

The most amazing house and owners
We Are returning for year two and we couldn't be more pleased. We feel like this place is home away from home now. The owners always check on us and stay involved in our horse show. Everyone agrees this is the perfect way to experience a slice of Shipshe heaven. Can't wait to come back!!

Great stay!!
Property was clean and beautiful! Owners let us feed their horses too. The description said there was a washer/dryer on site but there was not. Other than that, it was great! Would highly recommend for large families.

Beautiful country setting
This property sits in a beautiful country setting but still just a few minutes from the shops in town. The hosts were wonderful and the house was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you have a group of 6-10 people.

Lovely location and home
Our stay was very special because of the location and the lovely home. Our hosts were friendly and provided every thing we needed for a 4 night stay including fresh breakfast rolls left on the kitchen island. We did a lot of sightseeing and the house is very convenient to surrounding towns.

The perfect weekend getaway
We travel to Shipshewana every spring to meet family from Indiana and have stayed in many different hotels and rentals. This one was a favorite for everyone the location was perfect the house was beautiful, clean and cozy! We all decided we would be returning! The owners were so nice and the personal touches were so thoughtful!

Beautiful Home located in Amish Country
This home was beautiful, clean, comfortable, cozy, and spacious. We loved staying here again. We love the owners. They are so kind and even helped us unload our bags. Also it was only several minutes to town which was a huge plus.

Abundant natural light, gorgeous country views
Absolutely wonderful property and hosts in a location that offers lots of things to do locally and regionally. A beautiful, spacious home with multiple gathering areas indoors and out, huge custom kitchen with everything you might ever need, and windows in every room that provide great light all day and cozy comfort at night. Totally private, at the end of a lovely winding driveway. Ample parking for a group. The on-site owners, Tim and Cherie, are gracious hosts and clearly enjoy making guests comfortable and well cared for. My aunts and I had the best time and all 7 of us had space to be together or alone when we chose. I highly recommend Tim and Cherie and Bluebird's Perch. Best place ever!

The property is just as it appears, a really nice place for multiple people to stay and interact with each other. The owners are super nice and attentive. They offered and let some of us be a part of feeding their horses. The views are spectacular for a country setting, the property is quiet and secluded. I highly recommend it. I would suggest you use the central air and air conditioning provided as neighboring farms use manure on their fields. If you want a cool breeze sit on the porch. Their is plenty to do about 2 miles down the road so it’s close by. Charming area.

We had so much fun together staying in this beautiful home! Amazing views and multiple places in the home to enjoy the countryside. Private and quiet, but yet close to town. Spacious. Great beds. Large dining room. Table seats 10. Great kitchen. Great outdoor space. Coffee, teas, snacks, lots of extra perks! Great hosts on property…. they are delightful people! Great experience all the way around and would highly recommend!

This is a fantastic place to gather for any type of intimate family gathering. Ours was four siblings & spouses--all senior citizens. The location is private, spacious, with beautiful views, and yet, it is close to local attractions. We would definitelly stay here again.

Annual Fabric Aquisition Trip
We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Birds Perch. It was perfect for the seven woman that came. Tim and Cheri went above and beyond in providing what we needed. We enjoyed meeting them. There is a fantastic view from every window in the house. Our favorite was sitting on the porch in the morning with coffee and watching the sun rise. Thank you again to the Borg's for providing your beautiful home to us. The Illinois Girls and the Ohio Girls. :-)

Perfect Family Retreat
Blue Birds Perch was exactly as described…and even better. Tim and Cherie were perfect, attentive, hospitable hosts that made our stay most comfortable and enjoyable. The house is cozy, comfortable, and immaculately clean, and the property is absolutely stunning! Our kids are already planning a return trip! Our daughter has yet to stop talking about the horses. :)

The Best
I use VRBO often when traveling with groups of people of all ages. I would guess I have stayed in at least 50 different homes over the years and this was the best one I have been in. The owners are wonderful, very friendly and very helpful. We had several conversations with them and enjoyed them all. They love the area they live in (so do we) and gave us all kinds of insights into the area which we were able to use in determining where and whom we wanted to visit. The house is beautiful inside and out and sits high on a hill so there are great views in almost all directions. The front porch l invites one to come and sit and stay. The house was the cleanest I have ever stayed in. They have a huge set of windows in the dining room and allow people to look some amazing sun rises in the morning. It is not hard to want to get up in the morning. Great place! We expect to return often.

Wonderful Relaxing Place and Great Area for Cycling!
Six adults stayed at this lovely and clean property for 6 days the end of September. We were in Shipshewana specifically to have a reunion as we all met cycling 10 years ago. We cycled daily the many routes in the Shipshewana area. The views from the home were beautiful from every room in the house. The kitchen had all the utensils and cooking supplies. The living and dining room was great for our gatherings. We especially loved talking with the owners, Tim and Cherie and they answered any question we had about the home and the surrounding area.

Lovely home in the country
Our family had a wonderful time at Blue Bird’s Perch. The home is more beautiful than the pictures. We enjoyed the views of the countryside from both the main level and especially upstairs. Our grandkids were thrilled with all the toys and large stuffed animals upstairs. Tim and Cherie are very kind, lovely hosts. Our grandkids enjoyed seeing and petting their horses. We did too! Truely a wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful property and peaceful view
Beautifully appointed, spacious rooms, comfortable bedding. The only drawback to some visitors would be there is only one TV on the property. While it has a comfy seating arrangement it is part of a large playroom with two qween size beds. So essentially in someone' s room. Other than this, I would highly recommend it!

Bluebird of Happiness
This rental home is aptly named, with the bluebird being a symbol of joy, hope, and happiness. That is exactly what our family experienced in our three-day stay this past weekend. The warm welcome on our arrival and throughout our stay, the beautiful setting, and the tasteful interior design of the house all contributed to providing the relaxing space we all needed. Our 12- and 9-year-old grandsons were "over-the-moon" happy with their expansive activity room/bedroom and the expansive lawn in which to play. Eruptions of joy burst out when we suggested making this an annual retreat. We will be back!
