Perfect spot for a relaxing stay!
The house is just beautiful, beds very comfortable and a great layout for conversation! The pool is our favorite! It was the perfect temperature, even in August when most feel like bath water. Melanie is a great host!

Exceeded Expectations!
My husband and I were in town with our 16 month old to visit family. This is a great space to have family stop by and entertain. Everything in the home was thoughtful and intentional, from the perfectly placed pool umbrella to the angled mirror in the living room that gave a view of the bayou when sitting on the couch. The house is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. Check in was very easy. The house and pool were spotless upon arrival. Everything felt very clean. We had the pleasure of meeting Melanie and her pups; she was very nice and responsive. We look forward to staying here next time we're in town!

Family Staycation Visit
This property was perfect for our group. We were visiting our son and his family who live in Shreveport, so they had the staycation. Pool was awesome and there was lots of outdoor area for gathering. The mid century house was furnished very creatively and comfortably.

Perfect Stay for Family Summer Vacation
This is a wonderful oasis with plenty of room. Days by the pool, and relaxing scenery. So much space for cooking, games, and just hanging out. We enjoy our stay everytime!

Best vacation ever!
This is a beautiful house and a wonderful neighborhood. The beauty of the river and the giant old trees all around can't be beat! The pool was perfect with a wonderful umbrella and a slide. We had some confusion getting into the lockbox for the key and the owner came over so quickly to help, and gave me a beautiful magnolia flower off of her tree. I would recommend this property for families and couples, and we would definitely stay here again.

Loved the MCM vibe!
Loved our stay! It was a central location for our family to meet for a few days to celebrate our mother's 78th birthday. She loved the house and the 50s vibe. We all enjoyed the privacy of the pool. Very relaxing. We're already planning to do it a again next year!! Thanks for a great time!!

Family Visit
This house is stunning! All rooms are extra large and beautifully furnished in keeping with the mid-century design. The view through the multiple rear windows was breathtaking with the long view of the river and the many trees reflected in the water -- photos of the view are jigsaw puzzle quality. Inside, our hostess provided many extras, such as benches in each bedroom to conveniently hold luggage. We are three sisters with our husbands and there was plenty of spaces for private conversations or for larger gatherings. With the owner's permission, we enjoyed inviting additional family members to join us for drinks and snacks one evening and the house became the star. Next time we visit this area, we will definitely try to book this house again.

We loved the house the only thing with elderly it needs safety bars for both bathrooms and raised toilet seats!! Other than that it was very spacious and well accommodated!! Thanks for the memories we will be back!! ❤️

Beautiful oasis with flaws
Beautiful house, has great potential. Beware owners live next door and are nosey. My daughter just graduated nursing school and had friends (4) over on Friday night to swim. Next morning I had a text with noise complaint after advising the owner (who came over unannounced) she would have friends over to swim. It was also assumed I would let them drink and drive which would never happen on my watch. As said, just disappointed.

Annual Girl Trip
We all (4) loved the mid century modern decor and the bright colors. It was quiet and close to the vintage parts of Shreveport. Loved the pool AND the slide! We're almost 60 so fun fun fun. Great views.

Greater than expected!
My husband, daughter and her husband wanted to go somewhere to relax. We did not want to spend a lot of time traveling. We weren’t interested in shopping or sites. We wanted to relax by the pool and maybe kayak. The house is so amazing! It is spacious and beautifully decorated! It is extremely clean! The pool is also beautiful. The only downside was that the kayaks were not easily accessible. It was pretty overgrown. We would love to go back again some day! Unique artwork above the fireplace. Go see for yourself!

Best VRBO ever!
This uniquely styled home was the best! Much larger than you think! Beautiful yard and pool! She had lots of extras like pool towels, pool floats, many thought fun things for pets (even though we didn’t bring any). Pool overlooking the bayou, sun shades so you don’t get burned while in pool, lots and lots of sitting. We gathered in den when one fell asleep in the family room. Just an awesome experience. We hope to have our girls trip here again! Communication was top notch! There had been severe storms in the area causing severe damages in the area, including power loss. She stayed in contact, kept us updated of status. She even tried to work with our schedules, unfortunately our schedules weren’t flexible. But in the end, power was on and she had it ready to go! Do not hesitate to book!

Perfectly Relaxing House; Super Clean
This house was perfect for a group of guys traveling to Shreveport for a tennis tournament. The house was spotless when we got there and the backyard was very relaxing with the bayou and pool to enjoy. Owner was very responsive as well. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

As a former reviewer said, this is how a VRBO should be. Home was very clean, comfortable, well apportioned, good location. We were in town all week visiting our son and this was an excellent home away from home. I would highly recommend for anyone needing a place to stay while in Shreveport/Bossier.
