Not bad for 2 people
Let me start by saying that overall this house was OK for our stay. It was just the 2 of us, so we really didn't need anything bigger. As previous reviews said, the shower is small. However, I'm 6'2" tall and about 240 lbs and I was able to use it without much issue. There are some things about the house that, to someone with an eye for it, need a little attention. You can definitely tell the house gets the attention it needs just for rental season to keep it OK. The shelf in the bathroom behind the toilet needs attached to the wall a little better, the light fixture in the living room ceiling is partially coming out (looks like it wasn't properly anchored into the plaster - easy fix). These are small things to most people. The house is small and the pictures in the listing do make it look a little larger than it actually is, but like I said, there were only 2 of us. I would not stay here with any more than 2 people, despite the presence of the pull-out couch. Overall, we didn't mind as we basically used the house for sleeping since we were on vacation, but if you're the type of person who likes to spend a lot of time in the house on vacation, it would not be ideal. I will say, the house was decently clean. I was concerned based on previous reviews, but I was happy once we got inside. The AC consists of 2 window units that worked well. Again, overall we enjoyed our stay, I just find reviews tend to be a bit lacking in details and honesty.

The location was great, with an easy walk to the beach and the Village and the bed was comfortable. However, as we unpacked, we immediately noticed ants in the cupboard crawling over the plates. We had to wash anything we wanted to use - by hand, So we mostly used disposable dishes because there was NO dishwasher as was listed in the the property description. We sent a message through the app making a "maintenance report", but we heard nothing back. My husband took pictures of the ants, should there be any dispute about this. We would not stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay. Perfect location. Complete access to all amenities in the area. The only complaint is the shower head needs to be replaced, as well as the handle.

Regrets & refunds
Our stay was disgusting. The property was not clean at all. We were denied a refund initially by the property manager until leaving many reviews with photos and contacting VRBO. We checked out after one night and finally received a refund. The only amendable quality is this booking was receiving a full refund.

This is a great place to stay for a couple; the house is small but cozy. We really enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying here again. This is more like a 4.5 star rating. There were a few things that kept this from being a 5 star review: bathroom shower was incredibly small. Also the towel rack needed to be screwed in tighter, it was starting to come off the wall. Bathroom could also use a new paint job. The coffeemaker likely needs replacing..the inside of the reservoir looked pretty bad. I attempted to clean it, but it is pretty stained with I’m not even sure what. The house didn’t have any sugar or coffee filters for the coffeemaker, so I bought them & left them at the property. The house is literally a 5 minute walk to two different beaches, which you literally can’t beat. The sand lounge chairs & umbrella were awesome. It is also within walking distance from downtown. Overall it was a positive experience.

Great location! Check in and out great. Back door frame rotting off, deck has vines growing and needs maintenance, bathroom horrible, moldy shower curtain.. window units that could not keep up. Laundry room extremely dirty. Would not recommend

Great Location
Despite needing updates, the cottage was clean, the bed comfortable and was in a great location. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, the bar constantly in your back. Walking distance to beach, bars and restaurants.

Very small space with no AC
The perfect location! The beach is a 3 minute walk. The pictures listed make this tiny cottage look bigger than what it was. The shower is so small, I barely had room to move in it. (I’m an average 5’7” female). The cottage has 2 window AC units, however no airflow going into the bathroom which means it gets so hot and humid in there, you have to shower with the bathroom door open. Otherwise you can’t dry off. There are also tiny bugs in the bathroom and all near the trash can in the kitchen. Not being able to wash laundry was also an inconvience. I would suggest the owner get a beach wagon. It would make the walk to the beach much easier.

Disgusting , checked out at noon next day couldnt stand it. The whole place is rotted everywhere you look and the horrific mildew smell from the shower made me literally ill. You cant tell me the owners arent aware of such issues. Stickers placed all over about things will malfunction??? Seriously update the place to proper accomodations or get out of the game. Too many noticable issues to list. Unacceptable. Lesson learned.

Excellent stayed two weeks very close to everything all within walking beaches, shops and restauran.
My wife and I had a wonderful time and meeting new neighbors during our 2 week stay, lucky to have such wonderful weather.

Severe need of refurbishment
I need to preface this review with the fact that I booked this cottage for the week but only stayed 1 night because of it's condition. The cottage is in a great location on Siesta Key, but that's where the positives end, this cottage is in dire need of some serious refurbishment. The exterior was ok, the interior of this cottage was dirty, I don't mean the kind of dirt that can be swept up. the wall's are dirty and in need of painting, the paint was peeling off the walls in all the rooms. the window AC units had dirt and mold around them. The bathroom, particularly the shower had paint peeling and black mold on the ceiling and behind the shower knob. The furniture is outdated and the barstools by the kitchen counter were stained and torn. I really hope that the owners update and clean the cottage as it is in a great location. I did attempt to get a refund for the nights I did not stay there, but the property manager declined because they weren't given the opportunity to rectify the situation. I understand but I had to leave immediately due to my allergic reaction to the mold. Lesson learned

The beach chairs and cooler were not great… kinda beat up. And one of the beach umbrellas was broken. Didn’t bother to try the other one. I specifically asked before booking about beach stuff which, yes, was available but all in poor condition.

Perfect location
The size of the little house was just right for us. It was a short walk to the beach and to restaurants. A market, and drugstore was also walking distance. This was important, as parking is difficult to find! We appreciated the beach umbrella, cooler and beach chairs you provided! We want to rebook for next year!

Rental went smoothly. Location is fabulous - 5 minute walk to beach and Village Restaurants, Bars and Shops. Nearly all towels were damp upon arrival (not fully dried after washing). We had to run through dryer. All in all, would stay again!

Awesome Spot
We could not have asked for a better spot to spend a week on Siesta Key!! Once there we parked our car and walked everywhere... beach, bar, restaurants and grocery store. We had an issue with our TV and someone was there on minutes. Wonderful place and can't wait to go back!

Good location - Close to Beach & Village
Cute tiny house for two. Could use a little freshening up and repairs but great location for the beach and to walk to the Village. Internet/TV were not good -just FYI, if you need to sneak in a little work on your vacation. It was great to get away on a smaller budget.
