Our family of 5 (daughters 4, 9, 10) stayed in this beautiful cabin October 4-8. It was just as pictured and was one of those vacations that you actually left feeling relaxed and refreshed instead of exhausted from the vacation. Stepping out of the car the view obviously takes your breath away and it smells like beautiful northern pines. Inside the cabin smells like pine and cedar and is so relaxing. It rained on and off every day of our trip so we squeezed in outdoor fires when we could and otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the inside. The temperature of that time of year was perfect for fires in the wood stove in the mornings and evenings and windows open in the middle of the day. The upstairs bathroom/tub felt like a spa, multiple kids could fit in at one time. The beds were all very comfortable and there were fans provided. Other things included that are not at all VRBO properties: extra quilts/blankets, lots of games and puzzles, tons of firewood, crockpot, waffle maker, ice maker in freezer, laundry/dish soap, plenty of to/paper towels, coffee/tea, spices and kitchen items like oil, flour, sugar, syrup, pancake mix, etc. This cabin is very close to Illgen falls/high falls, black beach, pebble beach and split rock lighthouse. We enjoyed going to silver bay marina to watch the ships come in. Sunrises on the deck are phenomenal. Traffic noise is very minimal and the view of the stars is fantastic.
