When we turned back the sheets on the mattress at 1030pm there were multiple bugs scurrying to get away. We immediately packed up and left and rented a hotel room about 30 min away. I reported this to the owner the next day, but he did not seem to want to hear. If you do decide to stay at this location there are two additional things you should consider 1) Read the fine print, we had to go to the Walmart in town to buy towels and wash cloths (I never saw in the listing that they were not available) 2) The cabin look like it is in a remote setting in the pictures, but it is actually in the side yard, next door to the owner.

Cozy & peaceful
The cabin was just what we needed for one night. We arrived very late due to airline issues & had no problems finding the property. The cabin was clean & the bed very comfortable. We'd definitely come back to enjoy the tranquility of the area.

Stop over stay
Was a quick stop over on the way to our final destination. Larry was freindly and very responsive although we didnt get to meet him. We were 4 single friends and the cabin was smaller than it appeared in the pictures. The loft was tiny although my 6 foot 4 friend said he slept great. Read the details of amenities. I didnt look closely enough and missed that there are no towels or kitchen sink. Skowhegan has a great Thai restaurant, bakery and bar with an outdoor patio. People were super friendly and we enjoyed our evening in town.

Great cabin!
We were not at the cabin much. We were too busy spending time with the grandkids! The furnace worked great and the view was beautiful. Larry is a wonderful host. However, don't trust a navigation system, i.e. TomTom. It will take you places you don't want to go! Google maps worked a lot better!

We very much enjoyed staying at the cabin for our 9th anniversary/scouting trip. Larry was very nice. The cabin was perfect. I'd recommend it to anyone. Maine itself is awesome and beautiful. We hope to move to that area very soon. Brian, Maureen, and Bandit 🐾

I was a little skeptical at first when I booked the cabin. But when I got there I was excited and liked what I saw. I love a rustic and country atmosphere and this cabin fit that perfectly. The property owner Larry was fantastic. Super nice guy, friendly and caring enough to make sure you enjoy your stay. I will definitely consider renting the cabin again on my next trip to Maine. Loved it!
