Overall, our stay went well. The house was definitely rustic. And there was a terrible smell in the downstairs bathroom. When we were leaving at the end of our stay, we were heading out through the garage and I noticed a big hole in the drywall on the ceiling, right where the bathroom was above. So, probably something was going on, like a leak.
The beds were pretty comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of cooking utensils and staples like salt and pepper, etc. There were games, TVs and plenty of spaces for us to spread out. I even had an online class that I did upstairs in the loft area.
There were no explanations about the wall heating units in the upstairs bedroom, but we figured it out. A binder with some information would have been helpful. Not sure if maybe that was online, but I looked.
There were some difficulties with getting into the house, since the snow was piled up high -- both in the driveway and in front of the door we were supposed to enter to get into the house (leading to the garage). We couldn't use the stairs up to the front door since it was not shoveled and there was literally 6-8 feet of snow up there.
I'm not blaming the property for the snow, obviously! But, the driveway for this house was one of the only ones on the street that hadn't been plowed, which was a bummer. I called the property management group and mentioned it and they said they'd take care of it. When we were out the next day skiing, the driveway was plowed.
