"We had a wonderful stay at The Ocean. We stayed for 3 nights in a Villa, 4 adults and one 1.5 yo baby. The Villa was well equipped and very comfortable. The master bedroom with a large bathroom and bathtub was great. The open concept living space was convenient, and well lit. "This was an interesting property with some nicely designed interior features and run by a lovely family who tried very hard to please. However, it was not a bilingual property as advertised and that was frustrating at times.I found the kitchen poorly equipped and had to supply some of my own utensils. There was no microwave as advertised and the washing machine had Chinese only instructions.Attention to these small details could make a big difference to someone's stay."

"Awesome place and highly recommended. Beautiful rooms at prime location. HOWEVER, communication at front desk was not only challenging because of the language barrier, but I reserved 7 rooms for my biker group and they charged my card and we also paid cash for the rooms upon leaving. They said my card would not be charged, however that was false. Had to go thru Expedia for refunds. Double check your charges before you leave l, I assumed pending would fall off, but it didn’t. "

"Wonderful rooms, location and staff. Great views from the sea facing balconies. Staff very efficient and attentive. Sadly WiFi was unreliable and with no phone signal , it’s easy to feel cut off. As with most VN hotels during service was slightly reduced. Captains Bar wasn’t open, Spa was shut and there was a midweek reduction in the breakfast service. This really should have been mentioned on the web site."
