Perfect peaceful relaxing home away from home
Our second anniversary was perfect and so relaxing here at the garden gate studio! Perfect size , great location, friendly hosts . We arrived with a perfect treat waiting for us and anniversary candle . She also arranged a sunset buggy ride which was the highlight of the stay! Cassie the dog was a great bonus since we were missing our dogs ! Thanks again!

Beautiful Farm Stay
Loved the kindness and hospitality of the hosts. Nice farm stay away from any city is exactly what our family enjoys most and they delivered wonderfully. Truly a blessing to stay here.

What a blessing!!
I wanted to take my wife somewhere to relax and to get away. Gardengate was just wonderful. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Rhoda the owner and she was wonderful in so many ways. Her husband Tom was also so welcoming and kind..we felt like part of their family. The cottage was perfect and so nice. We loved the farm atmosphere and we were so impressed. I really cant say anything negative about our stay or the quality of the cottage. Rhoda was so helpful as the host and my wife and I found such peace in her heart. We both had some conversations with her as we needed this time away to work on our marriage. Rhoda inspired us through her faith and the words of support. For us I felt God brought us to Gardengate and we were so thankful he did. We just cant thank Rhoda and Tom enough for the hospitality, kindness and prayers. What an amazing experience and we can't wait to return!! I highly recommend this vrbo and if you like the simple life and want to stay at a home where the owners truly care about their guest this is the place and you wont be disappointed!!

Shipshewana stay
Comfortable and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The hosts, Rhoda & Thomas were very nice and Freeman that took us on the buggy ride was great! The area is beautiful with all the farms around and the location is a nice drive into town. We were able to walk around the farm and visit the goats, cows and chickens and they had a dog (Cassie), the greeted us daily for some love. Overall, it was a great stay and I highly recommended staying here and will in the future if traveling to the area. Thanks so much Rhoda & Thomas!!

Time to unplug!
This property and family had all the makings of the perfect week! With no TV or internet we experienced true fun, laughter, joy, and peace. The dairy farm was buzzing with new births, the chickens laid fresh eggs every morning, the milk came straight from the cow, the goats provided endless entertainment, the dogs and cats were happy to recieve love and attention, and the hosts made us feel like extended family. Rhoda's flowers were meticulously groomed all over the property along with a thriving garden. Thomas was gracious enough to let us try our hand at milking cows and bottle feeding calves. The location is perfectly nestled amongst beautiful farm land and the sound of horses hooves can be heard daily. We will definitely return again when it's time to unplug and recenter. This is the real deal...as life was intended to be!

Absoluely fantastic. Hosts Rhoda and Thomas were amazing and thoughtful, from the cheesecake to the buggy ride. We were made to feel so welcome. The studio apartment fit us perfectly. Would definitely recommend and come back.

What I wished for and even more
This property and it's owners were absolutely delightful I was so excited and it completely blew me out of the park The cabin was clean , comfy and spacious with all the facilities you need for a self catering trip The cute extra touches of cookies ,fresh farm milk and eggs were just wonderful We loved exploring the farm , we got to look for eggs , milk the cows and explore the whole farm it took me back to my childhood This stay was a true treat and we are looking forward to going back Thank you Tomas and Roda for your 5* hospitality in the countryside we will never forget our mini vk

Wonderful getaway
Our weekend getaway was just perfect. Thank you to our wonderful hosts, Thomas and Rhoda, for making us feel right at home. The cherry pie, fresh milk (and cream), bread, and farm-fresh eggs were all fantastic and very much appreciated. This place is a true gem. We loved every minute!

This was a wonderful travel experience. I was attending a horse sale at the Michiana Event Center. This location was close to the sale but far enough away to get some distance from the venue. The hosts were just wonderful. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
