Beautiful house and location but horrible beds and broken window shades
This house is lovely, but it was hard to enjoy after the horrible nights of sleep. When we first arrived we could tell there were some horrible beds upstairs - king mainly. Just from looking at it we could could see the mattress was a problem. Just sitting on it was uncomfortable. The feather bed component is very thin and does nothing. We asked Vacasa if they had something that could be put on the bed but they said they did not supply anything, but that they well pass on the complaint to the owner. I have read reviews about these beds being bad for a while and some people thinking they were OK and others not, so I thought something had been done...not the case. If you can handle an extremely hard old mattress, then you'll have a great time...until you try to close the window shades. The window sills are very dirty and don't work in the room upstairs. The downstairs bedroom doesn't have functioning shades to keep the light out. If you're an early riser - no problem. Lastly and very important - the stairway is very hazardous to someone who doesn't have extremely sure footing. It does not have a landing when it makes the turn - it is more like a tiny spiral staircase for those few steps and the pieces are thin and triangular. Going up is fairly easy, but coming down took two hands on the railing (tough to do with a suitcase in hand) and looking at every step. Our group was in their late 60's and mid 70's, and this was a big concern. Too expensive a price to pay for this.

Spacious house with lots of room. The kitchen was lacking a few items we usually see in a rental such as salt/pepper etc. But otherwise, the house is great with plenty of room to spread out.

Gorgeous home with great location
This was a gorgeous, large cabin with comfortable beds, and lots of room for everyone. Master bathroom was giant with a big shower and bathtub and access to the hot tub which we loved. About 30 minutes from wolf Creek ski resort. Only complaint is the hot water and heat didn’t seem to work for us until the morning we were leaving so showers had to be strategic for 6 people. It was bad enough we had the maintenance guy come out (he was quick and super nice) but unfortunately there was no fix for getting it all working. When we had a fire going we stayed warm, but it was weird it worked the day we left.

HIDDEN FEES $ Horrible communication
First off the first 3 nights we had no heat in the master bedroom. This was our honeymoon! Trying to message property manager took forever. And in the mean time they gave us permission to use the fireplace, except when it came time to actually use it (it’s gas) they said that they don’t allow gas usage. What the heck?! We bought all the wood etc. No dish rags or sponges for washing dishes Now this didn’t necessarily bother me but it should be known that sheets are not necessarily washed and sanitized as the property read up says. As when you check out that is something recommended you do is put the sheets in the wash and start it. Never says what kind of cycle etc. didn’t necessarily bother me but it might someone? Aside from that, house was clean. Not many blankets on the beds. It’s all infloor heat which was nice. Hot tub worked. Only one tv for the whole house. Hidden fees OMG! They have an appliance fee for the hot tub! But they don’t tell you ahead of time on top of the booking fee processing fee and then all the other stuff they lump into some enormous sum. I was very disappointed. It ended up costing us over double the advertised nightly rate. I do not recommend Vacasa As all my other VRBO dealing have been wonderful! And property owners have been fast in responding. But Vacasa (which is this property) is a PAIN to deal with.

Misrepresented Property and Unresponsive Management
Property represented (with attached photos) to show TV's in all upstairs bedrooms. No TV's in any upstairs bedrooms. Would not have stayed here without TV's in bedrooms. Even called ahead to make sure the TV's were present in upstairs bedroom. Was assured the TV's were there. In addition, photos show garage, but no garage access is granted. Had to load/unload 82 and 83 parents outside in cold and wet conditions. Again, would not have booked this property without garage access. Advertisement should state, no garage access. Several light bulbs not functioning (had to shower in dark). Shower heads in upstairs bathrooms not working properly. Upstairs carpet dirty with bubble gum in several places. Oven was filthy. Outdoor grill filthy. Left email for Vacasa (the management company) on first night of check in. No response until after we left the property. Left a day early due to dissatisfaction. No offer from Vacasa to make anything right. DO NOT stay in a Southfork, CO Vacasa managed property. I feel sorry for the owner.

We enjoyed every bit of this modern, cozy cabin situated with gorgeous views! We only stayed for a quick short weekend getaway but thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness it offered! We are leaving feeling recharged!

Fishing trip to South Fork
Property generously provisioned with disinfectant personal cleaners and toilet paper. Good job. Management contacted about non working ice maker and broken ice trays. There were issues with cleanliness as there was a dead mouse on one couch, cobwebs on light fixtures, and the need to sweep the kitchen and dining area on arrival because of dead insects.
