Chill River Cabin
We had a delightful stay here in this beautiful and well-appointed cabin. Morning coffee by the banks of the river hearing only the stream and an occasional blue jay was a pleasure. Close to everything but far enough away to leave the South Lake Tahoe busyness behind. Cabin was comfortable and just right.

Great family getaway
Well maintained, clean home with easy access to the river in back of the house. Kids had a blast and grownups had some much needed relaxation time. It was very easy to communicate with the owner and everyone wanted to return to this property!

Peaceful Haven
What a pleasure it was to return to our quiet river cabin after the tourist chaos in South Lake Tahoe. There was plenty of room for five adults. We especially enjoyed the Weber Grill, the outdoor porch with view of the river and the washer/dryer.

Amazing cabin on the Truckee River!
The cabin is perfect! My family of 6 was very comfortable and the yard is so dreamy. We enjoyed fishing and relaxing by the river every day. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook for a big family. The driveway is big enough for a couple SUV’s and even our boat trailer. Neighbors were quiet and barely any cars even came down that way so the kids could ride bikes with no worries. We’ll be back for sure. I loved the location in Christmas valley - close to Hope Valley for fishing and tons of mountain biking trails and hiking trails near by too. Overall 10/10 stay!

Amazing peaceful cabin in the woods
The pictures do not do this place justice! The home is beautiful, was very clean, sparkling clean hot tub. The river runs through the property giving the most amazing soundtrack to your vacation. The host is extremely responsive and helps with any questions or issues you might run into. Neighbors are very close by, but they are very friendly and did not bother us one bit. Cannot wait to return to this magical place!

Thank you so much for opening up your house to us. Including our dog Wotan!! Home was cozy, clean and an AWESOME ice maker!! The location is the perfect distance from S Lake Tahoe. The neighborhood was perfect for walking. Having the river in the backyard was perfection.

Spring Break Powder Getaway!
This property was incredible. The home was cozy and prepared for the essentials needed for a getaway. The location was perfect to play in the snow, explore the sites, or pick up last minute needs. The communication with the host was excellent! We felt at home while on the stay.

This Cabin was Awesome
We couldn’t believe how nice it was. How peaceful and lovely view of the babbling brook. The cabin was so pretty. Clean. Loved the fact you could use the stereo. The hot tub made this cabin a winner. Not far from everything. But far enough to be quiet. Would highly recommend this Cabin.

Comfortable, Clean and Relaxing!!
This cabin sits right next to the Upper Truckee river. It is wonderful to hear the rushing water through the windows or while you are sitting on the back deck. The cabin is very clean and well kept up. Upon our arrival, the lights were on, the place was clean and clean towels were displayed nicely on each bed. Everything worked well and good instructions provided in the welcome binder. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The upstairs "master" bedroom is very roomy with it's own outside deck and fireplace. The "kids" room has several beds and a foozeball table. Two bedrooms on the street level are also nice. The bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The back deck has a wonderful table and chairs with an umbrella, BBQ and hot tub. This cabin is located about 15 minutes from the lake and downtown South Lake Tahoe. It is a quiet neighborhood and a great road to walk or bike on. There is also some simple trails to hike nearby. You are only 5-7 minutes from a grocery store, gas, coffee shop and a few restaurants if you don't want to go all the way into South Lake Tahoe. Linda is wonderful to work with and communicates well with those renting. We would stay here again. Other family members have used her place before and have also enjoyed it immensely.

Great stay in Tahoe
The home was as described. Very comfortable place in a beautiful setting. We did have some issues with hot water, but the owner was very attentive and addressed this as quickly as possible. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Cute, cozy and clean.
Beds and bedrooms super comfortable. Upstairs primary has fireplace and view of trees and river! Hot tub is great - nice and hot and easy to use. The whole place overall great - 5 stars.

Creepy Feeling! Horrible Beds!
The place is very nice, it had everything you would need. Lots of room and perfect spot! However, I received a message from the owner during our stay letting me know that we owe money for checking in early. I had no idea or really thought about being a few hours early because we drove from the bay area and it was snowing. 59 dollars- and a message that made us feel like we were being watched. It was super uncomfortable. The final thing is the beds are absolutely horrible! 5 beds, all the mattresses are so old and hard, one of them sinks in the middle. None of us got a good night sleep! We left a day early. I'm sure we were being watch upon departing as well. The owner has a RING and watches all your moves.

Great for a family
Linda's house was wonderful in all the usual ways - comfortable, easy to access with a sensible floor-plan for a group to eat, play and relax together. The location was perfect: just outside the crowded South Lake Tahoe area, but near skiing and snow parks. In addition, it also had some lovely, but unexpected, niceties such as a heated mudroom, a soapstone counter and a fully stocked kitchen for people (like us) who want to cook. During our visit the hot tub was not working, due to the recent, heavy snowfall the previous week, but Linda worked hard to try to fix it and compensated us when it didn't happen. She answered our calls immediately. We hope to go there again.

Amazing place for our snowy family vacation!
The seven of us, including one teen and one tween, LOVED staying here- the house perfectly suited our needs! We stayed an extra day because we got snowed in, and our host Linda was SO helpful in every way...the best host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting and benefiting from :-) . The quiet, peaceful neighborhood was beautiful with the snow and the river and even the neighbors were friendly and helpful! Highly, highly recommended. We are already planning to return...

We love this property in Christmas Valley. Extremely, cosy, well appointed, and within closer range of Kirkwood than your typical S. Lake accomodations. Linda is quick to respond when you need anything. We'll be back!
